Maria's Alterations

Brought my dress to Maria’s. It had a small whole between two fabrics that had come undone. She had it fixed in a matter of minutes. Would definitely recommend her services!

Maria does not answer her phone ever & doesn’t open the shop when she is supposed to. She promises for a certain date to pick upYour clothes & doesn’t honor this date. DO NOT USE FOR bridal/formal wear. If she would at least leave people a message letting them know what’s going on….. phone was disconnected today. Awful

Maria is an amazing seamstress with a beautiful heart. I had issues with my wedding dress, which arrived less than 2 weeks before my wedding. When 4 other businesses rejected the job for being too intricate, she went above and beyond to make it look gorgeous, working extra hours. And she saved the day! She was so loving. I highly recommend her.

Maria is one of the most pleasant and helpful people I have ever met. I had pants and a dress that needed to be hemmed and she did it a terrific job short notice.

I drop off my stuff two weeks prior. She told me to come and pick it up Friday. Wednesday I called she said remember it’s Friday I told you , I said yes I’m only reminding you.Friday morning again I called she said to come at 5pm. 5pm I showed up her business was closed. I called her Saturday morning she said “ Oh I’m sorry I didn’t get to do it”. Like what the heck. This lady had my stuff sitting in her shop over 2 weeks and I told her I needed it for a specific date. Now all you can say is sorry!!! Why couldn’t she call days before and have me pick up my stuff. I guess she only favors certain people.

Maria is THE BEST! Such a sweet caring person who works hard. I wear a uniform for work and she has professionally altered each one for years. Fantastic work. Highly recommended.

Maria is simply wonderful. I had an unforeseen issue with my wedding dress and was told by my original alteration shop that nothing can be done". I called around to many alteration shops to see if anyone could help but understandably none of them could as it was only 6 weeks out from the wedding. When I called Maria she told me I could bring the dress over that day. It turns out the problem identified by the prior shop wasn't a problem at all. I walked out of her shop that day with such a sense of relief - I went from worrying that I wouldn't have a wearable dress to feeling confident that everything would be ok. She did all the alterations I needed for an incredibly fair price and had it done in plenty of time despite the short notice. Not only that but she was so friendly and happy to help - she put me at ease right away. I would highly recommend her!"

Maria is very nice and very talented, and her prices are fair. For that reason, she is very busy.I have been going to Maria's for many years. I bring my suits, shirts, and pants (including jeans) for alterations. She even fixed a zipper for me, and mended a moth hole in a sweater. I am very satisfied.When my daughter graduated from college, she got a managerial position in another city, and needed business suits. Because she was just starting out and to save money, a relative gave her several outfits, but they all needed to be altered. Maria did a great job for her.I've been going to her for such a long time; we have become friendly. She always asked how my daughter is doing.
