This has to be the most incompetent business on the Island. They have one job, to pick up recycling, and they are incapable of doing it with any regularity. They miss pick ups all the time and expect residents to hold onto it until next pick up in two weeks. How is that possible? So we are expected to stockpile a month’s worth of recycling. Why does the city allow this?

Recycling pickup is often collected late or not collected with no explanation, boxes have been sat out on our street for almost a week, now we are told it won’t be picked up until next pick up date in a further 2 weeks.Never any accountability from customer service. Poorly managed collection service for a city of this size.

We are missed at least once a month. In June our road was missed the entire month. Multiple calls into the office, no problem we'll be there tomorrow morning, we have yet to see a truck. Other neighbours have emailed, and they get the reply that we'll be there tomorrow. Recycling in the CRD has taken a significant downturn since Emterra took over.

Missed pick up again! We would give 0 star's if possible! Worst customer service we have ever experienced and judging from other reviews we're not alone. It's Thursday April 14th. our pick up day (not a holiday)....tomorrow is a holiday....I guess the crew decided to take a 5 day weekend!No notice (same as previous misses....again read the other reviews). This company should never be awarded a government contract....they are unreliable, inefficient and lack communication skills.

Again emterra does not pick up my recycling 2nd time in four weeks ! This is very frustrating for people like me who recycle everything. I do not think I should have to call the office every week to get it picked up . I would leave 0 stars if I could ..

Our city is trashed because of this company. Plastic and cardboard flying all around the town and ON THE HIGHWAYS. Recycling is left out on the street for weeks. They’ll say to bring in your wet cardboard until the next pick up date, then send out a sneaky truck at an odd hour to collect recycling.

I am left with no explanation as to why certain items are not collected. one time I received a note stating the reason was because my items were not separated enough. I get home today and I'm left with a bin containing nothing but glass containers. how am I supposed to separate them any further than this? please explain, because I've been here 6 years and only after my property switched to your service did I have any problems. I attached a photo showing how my bin was left. if you have any way that these could have been better separated let me know, because I'm genuinely baffled.

Our strata complex has service quality issues almost every week with Emterra. Bins are regularly tossed about on our front lawn, damaged, and moved to opposite ends of the complex instead of being returned to where they were placed. We have also had some bins left behind full, without infraction tags, despite being placed at the curb before collection time (the night before) in an orderly manner at the curbside. These problems continue despite reaching out by phone and email to the company multiple times over the past year. Avoid Emterra if you have the option!

Thank you for your service Emterra. its not easy for the drivers to pikcup for an average of 3Tons recyling per day. Thanks to the drivers that they still continue to work safe and can deal with the tension in the field. People should know how to sort and follow CRD recycling procedure to prevent delays and Equipment brakedowns. Cardboards, plastic and glass are not the same. Truck has three compartments when its mixed the driver will just leave it to prevent equipment brakedown. Oversize cardboard will also cause delay. Broken dirty glass can cause injury. Recycling is not garbage they should be clean and organize for easy pickup.Again thanks to the drivers. Appriciated
