I'll start with the good. Service was friendly. Portion size was pretty good.Now the bad. Not a very clean establishment. The walls and decor looked grimy and unpleasant. The green Pass which every restaurant displays was not present to state this restaurant passed/failed inspection.Salsa bar was not stocked. Only scraps remaining. Even the hot sauce bottles were down to the last drop. Salt and pepper on table also almost empty. Food took forever to reach table. On our visit on a Friday night, there were 2 take-out customers and only 1 other patron eating in. Maybe this should've been a clue to steer clear. Went here based on all the good Google reviews.Water glass was filled up directly from the tap.No water refill offered.Now to the food.To describe this as Mexican fare is an insult to the cuisine. Very bland and tasteless. No cilantro. No spice. No flavour. Lacked seasoning.If you desire true Mexican flavours, go elsewhere or better yet, cook it yourself.

Chancho’s Mexican Restaurant
Neat family restaurant. The atmosphere combined with traditional Mexican music made it a relaxing place to eat. The staff was courteous and knowledgeable about the food they offer. The portion sizes were very good and the prices were excellent for a home cooked meal. I recommend this place if you are looking for something different.

Have been meaning to try this place for a while. I often eat dinner later and they close at 8pm so got combo platter for two to take out. Cost was $47 and for what we got I thought it was steep. We were full but the quality was just so so I thought. I've had better for sure. Don't think I'll be going back.

Wonderful home made traditional Mexican fare. More then worth the drive if you like real Mexican. Sadly not licensed but they do have a salsa bar with three or four kinds of fresh salsa and queso dip!

Tasty and filling food! Prices are reasonable considering all the food you get. Service was awesome!Only thing negative was the rice could use more flavour. But my steak burrito was so good

Chancho’s Mexican Restaurant
We stopped at Chancho's last night on our way home from families. I had read quite a few reviews and thought what the heck lets try it. It had a good selection on their menu. The salsa bar is great with the different heats of salsa. We ordered our meal and it was way more than expected and was very good. The only problem we had was no room left for desert! We will be returning, thank you Chancho's!

Found this gem awhile back from friends and will drive with my daughter the two hours every month just for the most tasty Mexican food you can get. Still going through the menu and have not had a bad meal yet. Taste quality and price are hands doen the best i have ever had. Love the place.

Chancho’s Mexican Restaurant
Food was delicious and the service was fast and friendly even though we got take out right before closing. The chicken torta was tasty, will be going back to try more of the menu.
