This is a legitimately great bike shop.I was passing through Fernie for a race and I organized to have them pack up my bike when I arrived here because I was done. A couple of weeks before they saved the perfect box for my bike, and they were very thoughtful in their approach.Based on that experience I would highly recommend.

Brought my townie bike in to get a safety check, and Dylan really went above and beyond with helping me! He took the time to make sure I understood what was happening with my bike, and I’m very thankful for his services :) would recommend to any friend!

I needed some parts for my new K2 ski boots and found Gear Hub had them in stock. Spoke with Nick who was most helpful even checking the boots in store to make sure part would fit then taking it directly to shipping dept. Placed order on a thurs afternoon and received parts in my post office box by friday evening. GearHub is hands down one of the best gear stores in Fernie! The amount of selection ranging from soft goods, skis, bikes, camping, hiking, and really anything outdoor related is amazing! Beyond new gear they also have a wide range of consignment gear, no matter what you are looking for they will have it! The customer service is top notch with friendly staff who are willing to go the extra mile to help you find the right gear! They also have a bicycle repair, ski tuneup, and skate sharping shop. I have brought my gear in for repair many times and the repair shop has always been a huge help with getting the repairs completed in a timely and affordable manner. Best place in town for bike maintenance. Super friendly and very knowledgeable. They always take a few minutes to see if they can fix it quickly and get you on your way or they will let you know what needs to get fixed and schedule an appointment.

Awesome staff and shopping and would happily come back to shop here but not for bike service. Took my bike in for service, they were a week late and it came back with worse front derailleur shifting than before I brought it in. I brought the bike in again right after a test ride with obvious clicking but the problem was not improved much.

Love Gear Hub, such quality gear at amazing prices. Had super in store experiences when I visited Fernie, my first on line purchase just delivered and was first rate from start to finish... Safe, timely, priced right with great communication throughout!
