My primary care doctor is Doctor Abbu he is beyond words he's that fabulous. Once when my condition of anxiety kept me from being able to go to him...he knows my crazy fears are very real to me some days and so one day last year he came to my home so I could see him for a issue that was concerning me...what kind of compassion is that.... I looked at him that day and I was finally convinced someone cared if I lived or died.I needed to know that you know. Now how can I complain when I have someone like that cheering for me.re gratitude.

I have been visiting this clinic for 7 years. My primary doctor is located here and she is fantastic. All of the staff i have met there are very well trained and really give genuine respectful treatment to everyone. They are fantastic. The place has wheel chair accessabilty but therecis no parking close by and the street ( pender) has only monentary stopping in front with a very high curb rhat people like myself cannot negotiate with a wheel chair or mobility scooter or crutches. Im told by the director that the city of vancouver will be putting in two ramp type cement access points for this purpose hopefully soon. THEY ARE NOT ACCEPTING NEW PATIENTS at rhis time as most places in Vancouver are not they have heavy work loads. If you have an urgen need for care the best place ro go is the downtown acute emergency clinic on robson. They accept all and are very very good in treatif mostly everything.

All the staff there are unbelievably awesome. They treated me with respect and permitted me to take my time and describe what was going on in my life. The doctor whose name is Doctor Nouche, is one of the best doctors I've ever had in my life. She treated me as an equal. The counseling staff who have interacted with over the years is equally as good. When I went through a treatment process in the clinic the group therapy was superb. They provided snacks, coffee, juice and at the end Subway. Just a great job and kudos to everyone that works or volunteers at Pender Medical Clinic.

I've been a patient at the pender clinic for several years. I would not advise going to this or any other clinic of this kind. You're gonna get a rushed examination and you're going to be told as little as possible about your health and their findings. You will leave frustrated wondering why you weren't treated properly. I don't know if the doctor's just don't care, or if they are told to do as little as possible for patients. My guess is it's the latter.

First doctor gave me dangerously high blood pressure by prescribing me a medication that also ruined the diet she knew I was on. she insisted that I continue the medication and that the dizzy spells and high blood pressure were due to a possible tumor ! I went off the meds against her advice and my blood pressure went back down and the other issues which are all negative side effect to this drug and easily found on the internet, ceased. While discussing another reoccurring issue where I believed that a medication was somehow causing a blockage in my intestines causing extreme pain on day that I took it, she explained that the stomach med that she was prescribing should have taken care of the problem. When I reiterated that it was my intestines that I was concerned with, she laughed and said that she used the term 'stomach' for the whole area (motioning to her whole abdomen). This would explain dismissing my previous complaints. She didn't show up for my appointment on several occasions. The last time she faxed my prescription to a pharmacy when she got to work but nobody told me.So they gave me another person who can fill out prescriptions. What could possibly go wrong now??I'll tell you. He apparently can't read faxes. My pharmacy (Shoppers Drug Mart) faxed him a prescription request 3 days before I ran out of medication. I ended up getting an emergency prescription for 2 weeks 7 days after I ran out (10 days after the request was faxed). I went to the clinic who looked the matter up and it seems that he sent the prescription to a London Drugs location who, again, does not have my phone number.Because there is another medication that shoppers Drug mart fills for me, I do not wish to go to 2 different stores.Repeated attempts by Shoppers Drug Mart to gain a prescription from him have failed.
