Big Valley Auction

Extremely slow when bringing things in. Employees all working in slow motion. Both times I have been here I was not even acknowledged until I insisted on some service. They took people out of order making me wait over an hour to bring in just a few things. When I explained that I was bringing in things from my recently deceased son there was not so much as a condolence.

Stuff is cheap.Have to look at it because they may say it works, but that doesn't mean it's usable !Also.I am sure they are cheating.Put up something, someone wins it, (not you) then next week it's up for auction again. Sells for more next week. I have specific examples of this.If someone wins it but they don't pick it up, it should go to the next person. Too many items on multiple times even when they was bid on.Easy to see (when it's not a new item) that it's the same one.Someone should investigate them !

I was thinking about giving the Google review a 1-star so I could deter others from bidding on the same stuff as me but... that's not fair apparently.Good auction; variety of items and you can pick up some good deals.

The lady at the front is absolutely awful. Very disrespectful and has no customer service skills. I bought a ton of stuff in which they forgot to give me a bag of my stuff. They called me and I said I would try and get there by Friday (I did not end up being able to and forgot to call to tell them) not like I should have had to drive all the way back there from Vancouver in the first place. She said they had no problem holding it, and before calling to say they could no longer hold my item they sold it.This would not be a problem if the front desk lady spoke respectfully and did not give attitude to the customers.

Edit - i arrived 7 minutes before the auction was going to be closed and there were more than 4 boys there and 2 ladies as well and yes I inspected the VR yesterday but have you guys ever tested it on tv because its non functional in some cases on my brand new Ps5, Moreover i inspected the dead bolt as well but how come i am suppose to know that all the parts are there in the package for the deadbolt and you guys even mentioned in the AD that its tested and working how come is it tested and working if its missing it some of the main parts this doesn’t make any sense and after that you threatened me this morning that you are going to get me blocked or blacklisted from all other local auctions what is going on with you guys. Your auction runs on local people money and you are hutting them back with your defective untested items. People travel to your auctions from surrey areas by spending their precious time and what are they getting back - Scams, untested items and threats to get blocked from other local auctions as well and i say openly to you guys can try getting me blacklisted from other auctions they know me and i know them i have good relations with other auctioneers however for the reviews they will keep coming unit i see improvement in your auction description section.

Good mixture of overstock and used items. The staff is lovely and friendly, and I enjoy my interactions with this auction house.A lot of the 1 star reviews are based upon customers not doing their do diligence as a buyer. At ANY auction house you should always preview, preview preview! Also, read the conditions before you bid. The auction is not a storage facility just because you purchase something...it's up to the buyer to pickup on the outlined dates in the conditions, not the auction house.

I really enjoy dealing with big valley. I have been dealing with the for many years and have both baught and sold. I think a lot of people forget how auctions work. The terms are pretty clear and on display. Some times I win on items I buy sometimes I don't. One time I got a box of random stuff and it had some 500 year old beads!! $15 plus fees and I sold just the beafs for $500! Good group of people running your standard old time auction.
