Fantastic studio with a great variety of classes at every level of fitness taught by the best teachers. I recently started my journey back to health after problems with back and knees. The yoga classes have really helped me feel stronger and feel much better. As a long term couch potato it’s been extremely motivating to find a place where you can start your fitness program without the stress of being judged. Highly recommend Rise Yoga Studio!

Nice space with big windows, well aerated. The yoga teacher was really good and led the class really well with her cues. I would definitely go back!

I’ve been a client at RISE Yoga and Fitness Studio almost since the day they opened a few months ago. In that time I’ve become addicted to a few classes and therefore take between 10 and 13 classes per week (many of them back-to-back). No doubt all the classes are good, but I can only speak for the ones I actually take, which are:“Yoga” every morning from Monday to Thursday. The three types of Yoga taught in the morning are: Mindful Vinyasa, Rise and Shine Yoga, A Yin Practice. They are all different unto themselves, but even among each style, no two classes are ever repeated. The instructor puts a lot thought into making each class different while sharing her insights into the body, mind and life in general. Attending these classes is an uplifting way to kick start my day.“Full-body Great Week Starter” is exactly that. We do a bit of cardio, light weights and basic fitness exercises such as squats, lunges and floor exercises. The music in the class is perfect and different each class. The dynamic instructor enthusiastically shares her extensive knowledge of the human body and its zillion parts and their relation to each other.“Warrior Fit” is taught by a Mixed Martial Arts competitor and is extremely fun while being a wonderful workout. The hour just flies by in that class.“Cardio Mix Martial Arts” is taught by someone who has been a fitness instructor for many decades and is passionate about it. We learn all kinds of mixed martial arts moves, in addition to doing cardio and a bit of weights followed by a great cool down at the end.“Pilates” is also taught by a seasoned instructor who is not only certified in Pilates, but in Yoga and Essentrics and she is a cornucopia of helpful knowledge on the body and nutrition. It is a fabulous head-to-toe workout!“Zumba” on Saturday morning is how I get my weekend off to an energetic start. Until I tried this Zumba class I was not a fan of this form of exercise at all. Previous classes I had tried drove me crazy as we’d have to do a move 3 times on one side and 1 time on the other side, then we’d do a 180 degree turn and suddenly I’d be in the front of the class having no idea of what to do, since I didn’t have eyes in the back of my head. At RISE the Zumba is great for people who have trouble following a routine. The instructor uses cues, such as 4 fingers in the air to let us know we’ll be doing that move 4 times, then when moving in the opposite direction we always do the same number of moves on each side. All of her songs are short, fun and have very easy routines to follow (but don’t get me wrong, we get a workout) and we smile and laugh throughout the hour. The teacher literally has hundreds of songs/routines in her head, so they don’t repeat (except the weekend after Halloween when I asked her to repeat the previous Saturday’s Halloween specific routine which was to songs like Ghostbusters and The Time Warp and was so much fun, I was dying to do it all over again). Out of 10 points it was a 15 for sure!“Bootcamp”. I hate to have favourites, but I can’t help myself in this case, as I’m a high energy junkie and this is the class that got me interested in the RISE studio in the first place. The music and enthusiastic instructor inspire me (and my fellow students) to give 1,000%, while thoroughly enjoying ourselves and encouraging each other to give all we have! I just love it!In case it isn’t obvious, I highly recommend RISE Yoga and Fitness. All the instructors are passionate about what they teach and come across as very kind and caring individuals. The courses are suitable to all fitness levels as people just do their own personal best and there is no comparing to others. In a short time I’ve noticed definition in my abs, better flexibility and improved cardio endurance.RISE is located at Fitness City ~ home of Monster Gym. Membership to RISE actually gives full access to Monster Gym, so one can follow-up a fitness class (or two) with a lovely visit to the steam room or sauna, or make use of their fitness equipment. Win, win, win!

Went to Rise and you really feel a difference. Karim is great yoga instructor and has patience. It’s a calm and zen studio. I work in construction and after a few classes I felt a big difference in my posture and flexibility. I really recommend Rise yoga.
