Dental Care For Children - Southport

I am surprised to see the negative reviews on Google. I've been with both of my kids now 3 different times and have had nothing but pleasant experiences there. When I first went with my daughter, I hadn't really been forcing her to let me help her brush her teeth since I didn't want to fight her every morning and night, but had a good education on why is was so important (also reinforced by her bleeding gums during brushing!). Now, she is so great to allow me to help her brush her teeth thanks to good advice and tips. The facility is top notch and really set up to keep the kids entertained while they're there. I will keep going back!

My daughter had five fillings, one of which was very deep. She had a panic attack as she was so nervous but the staff were really good with her. The anesthesiologist coaxed her into having the mask on and was very gentle with her. The door to the wiating room was open and I could hear all that was going on. The nurses were really good with her and my son who is young and waited with me. There was leakage so my daughter ended up with a very wet top but they put that in the dryer for me. They were very clear and informative the whole time and I was able to be there when she woke up. The only negative really was it was a bit rushed in recovery as I think it was the end of the day for the nurses but overall they were very good.

I don't leave reviews often, but this place is so special. We were greeted by Lynne. She has a very warm presence. We felt welcomed right away. The hygienist and dentist were both so kind, and treated my daughters sensory issues with such compassion. I was blown away with their ability to calm my daughters anxiety and put us both at ease. The fact that she now can't wait to go back to see everyone at the dentist tells me all I need to know. Thank you so much for caring for us.

Dr. Saher and her team at Dental Care for Children, helped us understand our child’s dental needs. We were impressed by their level of care and understanding of the needs of our child (and our family) throughout the process.

Our daughter has severe autism, trips to the dentist are a fundamental part of her therapy. The entire team has been incredible patient with her journey. Each appointment gets better and better. We appreciate your whole team and can't say enough good things about this practice.

Dr. S performed surgery on my son. She genuinely cares for all little mouths and only want what's best. I greatly appreciate the time took to help me understand my options. 5 stars.

It's really worth it. If you're considering reaching out to a pediatric dentist, I highly recommend Dental Care for Children. It really is all about kids! A fun space with kind and caring staff.

Normally this place is amazing other than the fact that it is a no assignment clinic. Today however we sat in the waiting room 30 minutes past my grandson's appointment time. No body even bothered to acknowledge or update us at any time during this 30 minute wait. Had they not come to get him when they did we would have walked out and never come back.

We live in Airdrie, but decided to make the trek to Dental Care for Children because they specialize in pediatric dentistry. Happy we did. The office is immaculate and the people who work there really care for kids.
