I have been going to The Malibu for years and love it. Today my husband and I had the worst service ever! I can’t name names as unlike other servers, she give her name. Once we got our meal, she never checked on us once. Finally she came and I asked for a coffee refill and piece of pie to share. We waited for quite awhile and she forgot the pie. Didn’t bring coffee. Brought the pie but not a 2nd plate. Also forgot the coffee again!!! By then my husband was furious and when she came by said “you took a long time to look after us! By then we were sharing the pie off one plate. She replied that people are not perfect you know? And then walked away. She paid for our pie! However with such slow service we won’t go back again. I understand if she’s new or its busy. I observed neither. In fact three tables came and went while we were there also it was not that busy at your restaurant at that time! She didn’t take care of us properly.

Average diner food. Nothing fancy but good. Service was pleasant and fast. Place was clean but dated, which is part of its charm. Good burgers and order was cooked to perfection.

Their breakfast hashbrowns are wildly inconsistent. The ones I had were pretty bad. Also, a dude cleared my table while I was in the washroom. He was apologetic and gave me another coffee, but still. On the upside, their tables are very clean.

Extremely disappointed. We have been long time customers and tonight was by far the most disappointing dinning experience. The restaurant was very busy and there was one waitress running around doing an amazing job trying to keep the customers happy. Mean while in the kitchen there was a cook doing everything he could to disrupt the restaurant. He was ringing the bell no stop when an order was up and then yelling at the wait staff they were taking too long. This is not the dinning experience I am looking for after a long day of work. I also do not appreciate hearing swear words coming from the cook directed at a waitress who is running off her feet serving people. Truly disappointed and maybe it’s time to retrain the cook on how to speak to other staff or just replace him with someone who has a better personality and respect for his co-workers.

Always a great experience here. The food is incredible, the staff are friendly (they even remember you from previous visits) and the food is on your table in the blink of an eye. Diners like this are a staple to breakfast culture and set the bar for how mich better this style of restaurant is v.s modern ones where you leave hungry. I've been going here for years and will continue to for all of time.

Some friends and I went to the Malibu today around lunch time and had the most amazing customers service we had ever experienced.Cindy had such a bright personality, she was amicable and so so genuine. She was even able to take a picture for us and accommodate our dietary restrictions.What we didn't tell her was we were there for a Mystery Shopper Assignment" . An assignment designated to review select restaurant's customer service and overall experience.Our team visited 4 different restaurants in hopes to compare service. Out of all of the restaurants we visited

I usually get the panzzarotti Deluxe there and its 2 meals in itself for a decent price. Wish there was one in my city. My other half had the char-broiled chicken breast and we were shocked. It came with veggies(mixed beans and carrots) rice, your choice of potato(fries, baked,mashed), side salad and a dinner roll for $17.99. If your really hungry and love chicken get that.

For as long as I can remember the Malibu Restaurant has been a place to get good food at a fair price. Classic diner style menu with a few change ups here and there. Breakfasts, hot sandwiches, clubhouses, the classics done consistently well. And if you're adventurous the breakfast poutine is genius on a plate. I'm not a regular here but in the couple dozen times I've eaten here over a 30 year span I've never been dissatisfied with this place.
