Burns Beach
Pretty little area. Used to go here all of the time when I was little with my family for a quiet get away. Waves can be VERY strong. Do not suggest letting little kids in the water here as there are lots of rocks. Almost got swept away when I was a kid

Dillon Road curves to the left and descends towards the water. It's possible to drive almost right up to the water. There used to be a narrow strip of land between the eroding bluffs and the lake. In 2020, that strip is gone except for a few small areas further along. Even when calm, water is right against the eroding bluffs. Many trees have fallen over from erosion., making walking along the shore more difficult. Water is now even more cloudy. Because of the cloudy water and almost no actual beach, I am only giving 2 stars. However I like the place. It's nice to stop for a bit, look around and maybe take a swim. But if you want to spend more time at a beach, go elsewhere, maybe Erieau. When there are big waves the water will be very muddy and uninviting, but you may get to see spectacular splashes as waves hit the breakwall.

Spent a lovely time here today - not much beach but found a spot to hang out. Nice quiet spot to read and chill out. Not much parking but managed to turn around the hill to leave.

This beach was great. There is some concrete debris at the end of the ramp, but the beach itself is a treat to walk down. We collected many rocks for our garden and for painting on, but also just the washed out cliff is really cool to look at. We were blessed last time we stopped in for a no wind, an overcast evening sky, and a beautiful sunset.

Love this gem, very small beach with little parking, if the waves are strong I wouldn't recommend swimming, could get dangerous quickly. But on nice days the water is clear! Narrow beach but normally not too busy

Nice quiet beach. But big flies and sting like a bee.

I enjoyed myself there more than my dogs did lol. I just wanted a fun day trip with my pups somewhere they've never been before the BEACH! I had never been to this location but my friend knew of it. It was nice and enjoyable!

If you are new to Chatham-Kent, I highly recommend this place. You can park on the hill, seat in your car and enjoy a cup of coffee

Stumbled on this “beach” on our way to Essex. I wouldn’t really call it a beach, but more of a small private imitate TYPE of beach. When we found it there was only two other people there kayaking. It was very calm and the water was almost clear. We didn’t have much time to explore but from what we seen we fell in love with it. It’s secluded and small but that’s what makes it “cool”.The kids and I stopped in on our way home, the weather sucked, so the waves were huge, but we still enjoyed just playing right on the shore line.It really feels like a hidden gem, especailly when you have it to yourself. When we stopped in on our way home there was a lot more people enjoying it.The kids and I will be back for sure! But I know we’d enjoy it more if there was less people as it is very small and no desginanted parking.Absolutely loved our experience at Burns Beach!
