The people that work here are very helpful

I would not recommend applying for a career with this organization. I applied last February of 2021 and Human Resources (J.D) emailed me in March of 2021 saying that she has not heard from my references, but one of my former employers stated other wise.I have not heard nothing, yes I have done a follow-up email. And still NOTHING.For almost A YEAR! not even a- “we decided to not more forward with your application”. something !Not to mention I follow them on social media and won a gift basket, and nobody from their team has reached out to me for a drop-off or pick up.Highly unorganized, and to be frank!I’m feeling discriminated because I don’t look like your typical aboriginal, which is beyond sad with an organization that stands for “creating change that empowers Urban Aboriginal People”.

The staff here have fuelled a lot of negative drama in my life. They support non natives over natives far too often. I had some good experiences but I recommend finding more serious support if you need it.

As an indigenous person who is 1st and 6th nation's identified, this place has helped me and is still helping me get back to my roots of who I was and who I am. I'm thankful beyond words for what program is available here. There are many I believe but I'm only part of the one to remind me that I am a kind person.

Great programs foe the community. Friendly and helpful staff.

What a wonderful warm and welcoming staff and rich breadth of programming! Our family felt instantly welcome and supported when we needed to research some education and program options for our eldest son.

Great teaching programs for all ages. Staff is knowledgeable, friendly and helpful.

I recently enjoyed my experience at the Centre. They have so much to offer the community and staff is above and beyond. I would also like to extend a very gracious thanks to Stefanie, who made the time to stop and help me through my visit. I am glad that I finally had the time to connect with this agency.

They need to work on having a more friendly environment in my opinion. Sometimes they come off stand offish. But otherwise good services and decent resources.

I'm somewhat biased because I work there however I chose HRIC based on the many years of great programming, friendly people and consistent support the centre has offered.
