Big Daddy's Fish Fry
Must try Halibut fish and chips!!!! I know it’s pricier than other fishes but halibut here is so huge and delicious! The fried fish in here is a light and airy batter with a thick fish meat. Love their two types of slaws! The atmosphere is pretty cool! The food is fresh and yummy. We shared 2 halibut with fries and one original slaw and one special slaw.(2 people)

Very nice staff and super friendly which is the start of a great dinner! Food was good l…not the best but very good. We were hoping for the clam chowder too but they had sold out so we assume it’s amazing! All the dishes were enjoyed by the family including the calamari!

Big Daddy's Fish Fry
This place has absolutely delicious fish and chips. Make sure to gauge your hunger right so you order correctly because the portions are huge. The fish is all very large and fried to perfection. I recommend a side dish like this slaw to cut the richness of the fried food. They’re dipping sauces are awesome and we ordered every single one of them. They have beverages and many other things on the menu and the ordering system is very organized and tight.

Big Daddy's Fish Fry
Update :Prices are outrageous this year. They had no fish or prawns (sorry, they're frozen we were told) Hubby got overcooked dry beef burger, and my chowder was just ok. Popcorn shrimp was good, but not the coconut prawns I wanted. Tartar sauce is still fantastic, but that's not exactly why we went there. I don't know what happened, but lost 3 stars from me. $50 for 2 meals that were just OK is not acceptable to me.Also found better chowder for less $ 5 min away at another takeout spot.Absolutely THE BEST seafood chowder I've ever had, and I've tried it everywhere. Hubby had the halibut and chips and said it was GREAT!

Big Daddy's Fish Fry
A must-visit spot if you're visiting Tofino; beautiful outdoor patio with delicious food and a great price.We all thought the prices were too much until we saw the absolutely gargantuan portions they gave us! Everyone had to get takeout even though none of us wanted to because the food was so good (we all got the 2-piece rockfish).The people working were all super nice and charming too which is always a plus.

Big Daddy's Fish Fry
Spent lunch at Big Daddy's during a rainy day visit to Tofino.We saw the crowd first so guessed it must be okay. Glad to say it was. Everything felt fresh and tasted great. Make sure you get the bread with the chowder - makes a difference!Managed to get a seat. It looks like it gets busy so be prepared to wait.

The best fish and chips in town.We got the chowder, coconut prawns, and halibut fish and chips. The chowder was the best we’ve had on our trip on Vancouver island. Lots of seafood and veggies, perfect consistency and super flavourful. The fry bread paired with the chowder was to die for. The coconut prawns were huge. Fried perfectly and very tasty. Lastly, the halibut and chips was amazing. Super moist fish and the batter was perfect.I’d highly recommend checking out Big Daddy’s Fish Fry while visiting Tofino.

Big Daddy's Fish Fry
This place was my best food experience in Tofino, by far...The name is a bit misleading thought and decrease it to a fish and chips only but it was different.The guy was exactly knew what he is doing and was passionate about her food. We ordered squid, fish bowl and shrimp sandwich. The squid tasted different and its texture was sift and now chewy.I high recommend this place.

Big Daddy's Fish Fry
My wife and I both had the seafood chowder with the sailor bread which we enjoyed very much. A tasty variety of veges and seafood in the chowder. If you dine-in, you are actually outside, in a covered area. Highly recommend.
