Sonder Gare Saint Denis

Excellent aparthotelLoved the interior (true to pics as advertised), súper clean, coffee & tea provided, firm bed, good water pressure, washer/dryer functioned, overall just a very nice stay like a home away from home. My group purposely wanted to stay at an apartment style place so it was perfect.Know that this is not a hotel so no one will accommodate you/ change towels/ make the bed. We expected this and would definitely choose to stay here again!

Located in heart area of Montreal. Unfortunately no free parking. You can park on the street and pay at meter. 3 hours max. Free 6pm to 8am.

Great location near Old Montreal and other sights. Clean apartment but did have a slight smile smell in a non smoking room. Sonder was aware and actually proactivy contacted us and offered different accommodations of we desired. Bed was a little too hard for our preference but still able to sleep in it. Overall a really nice place.

Very nice accommodations, but incessant indoor smoking our entire 8 night stay. No one really on site to help manage the situation, just had to constantly open the window for fresh -15C air and also had to wash our sheets because the bed smelled like stale cigarettes when we arrived too. Not sure if I'd come back.

Started our trip at a different Sonder and ended up relocating here after the first building had a fire sprinkler flood. We stayed at St. Denis before and appreciated the thoughtful layout, however both trips the smoking in the building was terrible. It is toxic in the hallways and especially the stairwell. At least the weather stripping on the suite is better this time and the smoke only entered our room when we opened the door to the hallway. Our suite #205 was located above an uninsulated garage, so it was very noisy every time the garage opens below the bed, and the floors are always very cold. Only one baseboard heater (plus a small one in the bathroom). I would come back again if the smoking stopped, but I don't think it will.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this place. It has a wonderful location, the rooms are clean and have all utilities (AC, hot water, internet, tv, utensils, induction, etc.). Would be happy to come and stay here again :)

Dirty dirty dirty and worst customer service you can EVER imagine! STAY AWAY!!Booked two nights in Oct 22. When we arrived we found the room was dirty - not only a bit of dust, but dirty all over the place: finger nails on the floor, hair all over the bathroom etc.. And a bed full of stains and dirt!We reached out to the customer service the same night we arrived. To put it in a nutshell -even we had multiple calls and mail conversations, NOTHING happend!! Nobody came to clean the room or at least provide new sheets for the bed!After our arrival we shared photos of the room via mail and then had three calls. The service agents promised us somebody will take care. Nothing happend.We reshared our request via mail. A new service agent asked for photos again. We then had a conversation via mail with 7 different agents (do not expect somebody to take care of you seriously or come back to you a 2nd time, which makes it very easy to overpromise and not deliver). BUT - nothing happend. Nobody came on-site to clean the room, provide new sheets or offer a room change. All that happend was a recharge of the cleaning fee afterwards, which is more a bad joke. We were literally not able to use the room!Ah and good to mention - if your room windows are to the back - you can look forward to a bunch of junkies fighting and throwing up every night in front of your windows!I can not be clearer - A better way to stay."? The worst way to stay should be the official slogan! What a nightmare this company!"

The very first night we checked in, there was no AC - it was 20-24 degrees and we just came from the airport so we badly needed this, we sent a request for the air conditioning to be turned on as the remote was nowhere to be found. I called the hotline and the person I talked to said that someone from guest services will come but no one came. Following night, I called the guest services team again, the person was nice and kind, I thanked them, they asked me if I lowered the thermostat because that will lower the temp down which I told them I already did but didn’t help because it I tried to lower it to 16 degrees but it went back to 23.5 degrees, the most it went down was 21 degrees which is still not great, I have a health condition and this was not letting me sleep.On the night of 23rd my birthday mind you, between 8-9pm I called again. We were able to talk to someone and told the person that my husband and I are still not comfortable, this guy made a rude comment ‘why don’t you should just open the window??’ I said that even when the window is closed we can hear noise outside what more if we open it? We were so uncomfortable we only slept 3 hours every night only wearing underwear which is unacceptable. The next day they sent an email saying that they will send a fan but the fan didn’t come.Icouldn’t sleep at all. On the night of 25th the fan came which by this time is already pointless as we were checking out the next morning. We appreciate the gesture but we are checking out the next morning and even when we had the fan the temperature is 25 degrees so that didn’t help anyway.We understand we definitely could do the suggestions and the fan and all but when we booked this hotel room we didn’t just pick it because we want to stay somewhere near the attractions, we want to stay somewhere we could be comfortable and as your listing on expedia says as one of the main amenities of this property/hotel is that it has air conditioning so this should have been part of the room.Aside from the air conditioning, we were trying to make ourselves comfortable by using the television and chrome casting our devices. It was working well but the sound was not very good, we turned it all the way up but we couldn’t hear it.Overall if we could rate this stay we would rate it 0. We did not get what we paid for and were dealt very rudely by some of your call centre people. It was a birthday trip long planned and I was hoping it would be great.Edit - and oh btw they offered a credit for future use. As if I will be staying again on any of their properties!Stay away from this hotel!!!

The rooms were amazing, awkward view to an empty parking lot but it was amazing that they have a washing machine+dryer+ full kitchen.But there was absolutely no service, they didn't even change the garbage for the entirety of our one week stay
