Maison William Wakeham

Pleasant food experience. Local products used. The salmon was great, covered in a honey and mustard combination which made it very palatable. Service was efficient, but lacked warmth and authenticity I had expected from a small place such as this. Premises are interesting - it feels you are a guest in someone's home.

We were there in late September, early in the evening, so it wasn't very busy. The service was excellent and the server very friendly and considerate. The wine list was great for this region, and our wine was excellent. The food was the best part - it was marvellous - the best meal we have had since we left home a month and a half ago. Superb. Too bad they close at the end of September until next spring.

Absolutely outstanding food and service. The chef Guillaume prepared an amazingly tasty food. Waiter Didier went above and beyond to satisfy our needs. One of the best dining places we've ever eaten. Totally recommend!

We stayed in the Queen bedroom for 4 nights and found the whole experience except food disappointing and definitely overpriced. First of all, If you’re looking for standard hotel services this place is not for you. For example you don’t have access to any kind of room service since the staff are only on site for breakfast, lunch and supper at the restaurant and you don’t even have a telephone in your room! You only get cleaning service once a day if you want it or not! ( again no tags on the door or something like that is provided). The place is not maintained properly and we got a leaky roof because of rain on our last day and I ended up with a bunch of wet clothes! We were just lucky none of devices were in the leaky spot. The food on the other hand is awesome and I gave them three stars just because of that otherwise it’d be one or none if I could. The menu was only in French but the waiter explained the whole menu to us. I would not recommend this place for stay but the restaurant worth trying.

One night stay. Worth the low price. Beautiful shabby-chic atmosphere. Door was locked and the concierge was not on the premises to let us in at the stated arrival time. After 10 minutes on the front porch, a guest let us in and we called the phone number. We had to wait another 20 minutes for the concierge to arrive and show us to our (icy cold) room. It warmed up quickly, and the next morning a very nice (included) breakfast improved our evaluation.

FRIENDLIEST PERSON EVER!!! so accommodating!! I had to find wifi in the morning to teach my online class while on my honeymoon and we saw this place on Google with breakfast and wifi. Even though breakfast wasn’t opened yet, we called and he picked up and said we are welcomed for breakfast there. When he arrived he saw I was in the foyer using the wifi and he was so friendly still!! He welcomed me in and told me where the washroom was. He also offered several times to reheat my crepes after it got cold from me having to finish my class first. My husband also had wonderful conversations with him about soccer!!

This May we had the pleasure of welcoming family from away in order to attending my daughter's baptism. Once again Maison William Wakeham, with Desmond and his staff, was at the top of the places to stay while you're here" list.Mr Ogden was gracious in accepting the reservation

Known for it's terroir cuisine, Maison William Wakeham did not disappoint. The service was outstanding (opened the kitchen early for my party of 5) and the food delicious. The charming setting is for a mature clientele, but they still accommodated my 2 and 6 year old. We really felt like we got to experience a little bit of Gaspesian culture.
