Great place if you want to try Peking Duck! They also have a pretty extensive menu otherwise with some fan favourites being fried rice and the bubble tea in the shop attached to them. They get pretty busy during the weekends but you can always call ahead of visiting.

This was my first time going to this restaurant and the food was good but expensive, especially the duck. I really liked the decor and atmosphere of the restaurant. The waitress was good but the food seemed to take a long time to come out. The food portion size was good and it was tasty and fresh. Thanks.

One of the top Chinese food places. Quality here is superb! The sautéed chicken slices w/black bean sauce on sizzling stone plate is one of the most tender & best chicken dishes I’ve ever had!The BBQ pork bun was amazing as well! A uniquely delicious dish is the Baozi stuffed w/juicy pork & hot soup. Just don’t get the Yangzhou style rice as it’s bland compared to the noodles in our opinion.

We walked in the restaurant at 6pm, only 2 tables inside had customers, yet, none of the waiters bothered to stand up from their back corner gatherings. They waived us to sit anywhere in the dinning room. After 5 mins, the wait staff walked over with a pot of tea and pointed to their QR code on the wall to order.Don't order their stir fried rice Yangzhou style. They used luncheon meat and frozen mixed vegetables. The whole dish was just barely Luke warm. The sweet and sour pork was also luke warm. No steam.Their supreme Beijing roast duck for $68.88 was the only thing that was good.Their pancake with pork foodie style was also nice and hot and juicy.

Foodie North's food quality has really gone down the past decade. Previously it has been 5 stars for me.The fried rice and noodles were good but that is standard. The beef wraps don't have enough beefThe soup dumplings need to be bite size" with less skin and more soupThe pork belly bun wrap does not have enough preserved vegetables to bring out its flavor. The service was just adequate. No occasional checkups on refills and paying requires going to the counter. Everything is online order with qr code but requires a phone number. Why do I need to give you my phone number if I'm dining in?It's quite unfortunate because the atmosphere is so nice."

I was first introduced to Foodie North in 2019. It was very crowded then, right now it’s less busy. Pandemic really hit hard for some businesses, especially restaurants. I personally found there is no change in the food quality and service. It’s kinda sad to see some people complain about the food portion vs price, hence the bad rating. I think this is a good restaurant with a variety of different dishes. There are also big tables where you can bring your family or friends. Something to note though, I find the heat in dine in was insufficient during the winter time. It was cold, which led to gloomy atmosphere.

2023.03The restaurant’s decor was beautiful, and service was okay although servers did not seem to care.We tried spicy beef (夫妻肺片)and the duck blood soup 鸭血汤, neither which tasted as good as similar dishes from other Chinese restaurants we had been to.Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant.

This place used to be a favourite place when we were hosting guests from our of town or overseas, because the restaurant served good Szechuan dishes, the service was great, and the dining area was themed well.I think the restaurant suffered some changes post COVID, and is struggling to recover still, especially on the quality of the dishes. The fried rice is okay, no complaint. The deep fried pork was crunchy, with sweet glaze. The mapo tofu was milder than I remembered it; I was looking forward to mixing it with the fried rice, but ilthe flavour wasn't bold enough for my taste. The fried chicken with chilli was also underflavoured, which was a let down, because it used to be the crowd's favourite.
