Salt of the Earth Farm

Salt of the Earth farm is a real gem for fresh-grown vegetables, eggs, and meat in Kingston. The owners are lovely, always friendly and helpful, and they give great farm tours. Our family has enjoyed being a part of their CSA for the last few years and we are so glad we joined. The quality of the veggies at the farm stand is pretty incredible - it's a lot different than what's at the grocery store - so much colour and flavour.

Visiting the Salt of Earth Farm is one of the highlights of my week. The vegetables are superb, the family and staff who run the stand are friendly and knowledgeable, and the setting is sublime. I feel good about eating locally-produced food, while knowing that I am supporting a farming family in my community. I recommend Salt of Earth Farm to anyone looking for excellent vegetables, eggs and maple syrup. It's all fantastic.

Salt of the Earth Farm has been our favourite place to shop for local fresh produce. Everything tastes amazing from the incredible lettuce, sweet red peppers, fresh farm eggs and even maple syrup. Morgan and Charles are incredibly hard working and lovely farmers. We are so glad they are here in our community. I highly recommend stopping by the farm stand.

AMAZING local produce and WONDERFUL people! It was always nice to see Morgan and the kids at the farmstand when I went to pick up my weekly veggies, and my own kiddos liked to visit the pigs and cows when they were down on Hwy 2. Their prepaid card is a super convenient way of paying (never have to worry about not having enough cash on hand). Also love their partnerships with local food banks and charities. Seriously, cannot say enough good things about this place! If you're looking for locally sourced produce, eggs, or meats, this is the place to get it!

Nice day for a drive, and happy to find them open for the first time this season. Their produce and eggs are always top quality and if you can’t make it BuschGarden Farmstead Cheese this place is always loaded with the good stuff.

The farm stand on Hwy. 2 is HEAVEN ON EARTH. The bounty of fresh produce is incredibly delicious and the variety of fresh food is impeccable! You can also purchase their very own maple syrup, fresh cut flowers and order beef too! We are delighted to support our local farmers who are dedicated to producing high quality food for the community and in addition, they donate to local charities. Charles & Morgan, thank you for your continued hard work, dedication and love for growing fresh food. You make this world a better place!

Charles and Morgan of Salt of the Earth Farm are truly amazing people who are dedicated to what they do. They offer fresh locally grown veggies, eggs, meat as well as maple syrup (so good!). We were first introduced to them when we signed up for our veggie farm share (CSA) years ago. They now offer a great prepaid card system which is super neat. Highly recommend stopping by their farm stand on highway 2 if you can - don't forget to bring cash!

If I could give 10 or 20 stars here, I would! Our family has been enjoying fresh produce, eggs, and meat from this local family-run farm for years; I can't really say enough about how excellent the quality of what they produce is: their vegetables are the only ones my child will eat because they taste so much better than the store ones"! Their flexibility for payment methods and customer service are absolutely top notch. And the maple syrup is to die for! Definitely one of the best local farms around; well worth the trip for fresh local produce!"

My family and I look forward to shopping at this unique and friendly farm stand every week. Morgan & Charles and their family make this experience so welcoming and fun. There is lots of space for kiddies to run around and the natural surroundings make shopping at Salt of the Earth so very pleasurable.As a diehard open Market shopper, I have to say that this farm stand is outstanding! There produce all season is the best you can buy in the area. And... did I mention how friendly and helpful Morgan and her team are? Beyond!! They are full of information about their goods and always willing to go the distance to ensure you get what you need.I, for one am so happy that they are still open late into the season and continue to provide an abundance of high quality food.In addition to growing excellent food, running two farm stands and raising a growing family this young couple are committed to giving back to the community, having raised several thousand dollars to contribute to Kingston food.If you haven‘t already, take the drive down Highway 2 east and experience Salt of the Earth for yourself! Just east of CFB Kingston, on highway 2, is a modest garden market called Salt of the Earth. There you will find FRESH produce, like you'd have just picked it yourself. I could rave about the corn, the garlic , the fresh eggs, the carrots, the shallots, the squash, the tomatoes...but I would have barely scratched the surface. If you want fresh, local produce, then take a drive out highway 2, Wednesdays to Saturdays, and fill your baskets. This is the real deal, with real people who love what they're doing.
