Corbie's Dog Training

This review is long overdue! I adopted a rescue dog back in 2016 and discovered he was reactive towards other dogs. Thankfully Reddit lead me to seek out a BEHAVIOURIST to learn more about reactivity and come up with a plan, and Sabina was my first stop./only stop (I specifically did not want a trainer, I was looking for someone who had experience and education in dog behaviour and reactivity). I was shocked at how much I learned in our initial (free) meeting, which lasted 2 hours. In that amount of time I learned so much from Sabina about my reactive dog, dogs in general, reactivity, how to manage MY anxiety and stress about the situation and many options to move forward. I can tell you from that first initial meeting my whole outlook on my dog's reactivity changed. I never felt pressured to hire her moving forward, and she gave me a plan for both options which I was so impressed with. I knew I wanted to move forward - I can't remember how many sessions I did with Sabina and my dog, but her help is the only reason my reactive dog and I are living a fulfilling, safe, fun and stress free life right now! I learned tools for managing his reactivity every day, tips to keep him happy and stimulated and strategies when things happen out of you control (hello off leash dogs). Most importantly, Sabina taught us that there isn't an easy fix to reactivity, it's a life long journey and it's not easy! But, it can be done and there are things you can do to make life easier and more enjoyable for both dog mom and dog :) It's now 2021 and I still use the strategies, tools and information Sabina taught us and frequently share with others to help them understand reactive dogs. Knowledge is power, and Sabina has the knowledge to back up everything she preaches. Thank you Sabina for helping me understand Cooper better, and Cooper says thank you for making his life better! Could not recommend her enough! *Sorry it took me so long to write a review!

Sabina was a pleasure to work with! She is highly knowledgeable and offers great advice and training techniques with the facts to support them. She is extremely patient and calm, providing a comfortable setting to work in. She is flexible and able to accommodate to your schedule. Friends and family noticed a difference in Dukes behaviour after just a few sessions with Sabina. She truly cares about her clients and genuinely wants to see the dog and owner excel and will do anything she can to help!

Sabina is extremelyKnowledgeable in her craft. She knew exactly how to help us with all of our concerns with our golden retriever Tucker. She was welcoming, friendly and approachable. Before meeting with Sabina we were at a loss with our dog Tucker, we didn’t know what to do. She helped us gain trust back and helped us to understand him more as well. Being able to work with Sabina in our own environment “Tucker’s home” was so beneficial to us. I would highly recommend Corbies Dog Training to anyone looking!

So so helpful! Really knowledgable and amazing at explaining why things work the way they do! Sabina has been so great at providing us with the tools we need to keep our high energy working dog happy! She also always takes the time necessary to complete the task at hand and always leaves us feeling confident about our homework and the potential progress to be made.

Sabina was great to work with. Her advice was tailored to our dog's temperament and got us the results we were looking for. She was always just an email away to discuss how things were going and how we should handle unexpected events which popped up in between training sessions. I would not hesitate to recommend her to anybody looking to instill good manners in their dog.

I am so grateful that we found Sabina, Corbie''s Dog Training. Our rescue dog, Sam, became aggressive towards others a month or so after we adopted him. We just finished Our Basic Training with Sabina and we are Very impressed with how much we learned alongside our Pup. Sabina was Very patient with us, our questions, and our Dog Kesha. We got our first dog, a four-month-old golden doodle, in February and wanted him to be well trained and responsive. We checked out a number of trainers in the area without much foreknowledge of how to select one. In the end we went with Sabina, and was that ever a good decision! Her guidance and advice is practical and effective, drawing on well founded research and theory, while at the same time having a holistic component that creates a nice balance. Highly recommended!

When my hubby and I purchased our puppy, Oliver we wanted to set him up for success and we knew we needed a trainer to make that happen. When we found Sabina we knew her combined knowledge, education and experience made her the ultimate choice.Sabina's approach is great - she's very encouraging, very thorough and takes the time to explain all the reasons why you're doing any particular exercise.When our puppy started showing signs of resource guarding; it seemed like Sabina had all the answers. Her calm demeanour and her in depth knowledge of canine behaviour helped us navigate the waters through that awkward time in our puppy's life. We are happy to say that our dog now rarely shows signs of resource guarding. We attribute this success to Sabina's intervention and instruction in that situation.Last but not least, Sabina is excellent with communication. She is seemingly always available though email to answer questions, discuss new behaviours and give insight into issues while we were between lessons.We would highly recommend Corbie's Dog Training to anyone who is looking for a well rounded, highly knowledgable trainer.

Sabina is a very knowledgeable in her trade, she is kind and easy to talk to and very friendly, is willing to go above and beyond for you and your dog to make training as comfortable and easy as possible. Charlie and i truly enjoyed our experience with her and would highly recommend her to anyone looking to train their dog at home. The schedule is very flexible and training never felt like work, it was fun for the dog and we both enjoyed the weekly visits. Charlie and i look forward to working with her in the future.
