A nightmare experience dealing with Expedia & Sabre. A heartfelt warning; Never ever EVER use them to book. I will save you the novel length saga of our horrific journey to try and redeem a flight credit.Just book direct with the airline or accommodation. Do anything - just don't use Expedia. For the sake of your time, money and sanity, avoid if you can.

Sells the travel insurance plans, then discontinue with those insurance companies, and the insurance company , AIG Canada in my case, upon filing a claim replied me that the insurance plan was ended on the departing date of my trip SCMMERS ripping off innocent people.=====EDIT===I was on a log hold for more than 1 hour, to speak with a call center manager, who are not available and brave enough to face upset customer.

It is not worth it to book through Expedia, just go direct through the airlines. I lost $650 in travel credit from booking through Expedia instead of using WestJet directly. The mixed messaging through Expedia Customer Service caused so much wasted time I finally gave up and posted here. Every time I called in, I spend over an hour on the phone and at the end they said they would call me back. Those retrain phone calls never happened. The whole process of using credit from a canceled flight was not simple. I had to keep track of everything myself. They never had my information, the wait time was extensive, and some of the customer service reps I found to be rude on the phone. I have quite a bit of patience and believe you catch more flies with honey instead of vinegar which some of the customer service reps didn’t subscribe too. The ones that did I believe were handcuffed by the internal Expedia systems

8.6 billion Dollar company, why would they ever care about any of these reviews or complaints they don’t have to. They have a monopoly on the travel industry and there’s nothing anyone or anything can do about itThey own most of the other sites you might think to book anywaysThis is why you cannot contact him whatsoever. Expedia is just a bot trying to make some money through ticket bookings, when we booked our tickets back to Canada for a round trip to Asia no warning was given that we would need to pick up luggage and rechecking everything from Emirates to Air Canada, Emirates would not allow us to check in and Emirates is pretty sticky when it comes to cabin baggage, learnt my lesson, dont fly Emirates and don’t book with Expedia.I dont know why TD CANADA TRUST IS PROMOTING EXPEDIA, arn’t TD Canada aware of these ratings, moreover I went with Expedia because I got carried away by the name “Expedia for TD”; because TD for Expedia website didn’t even load on Canada’s thanksgiving in 2022 in November.Are travel regulator’s aware that Expedia is not giving enough information or warnings to passengers, thank god I didn’t book with them during Covid mess, enough frustration to passengers, regulators, banks , airline wake up!

Worst vendor to book international flights with. They never mention the transit visa requirements for the connecting flights while booking the tickets. They just robbed hard earned C$3600. I had booked a one way flight from Delhi(IND) to Toronto(CAN) which had a layover in Munich and Vienna. The vendor never mentioned that from Munich to Vienna it will be a domestic connection and passengers will be entering domestic arena of Vienna. For boarding the flight from Vienna to Toronto, we need to enter International arena at the airport and for which transit visa is required. We came to know about it only when we reached Delhi airport and the ground staff didnot allow us to board on the plane to Munich even. We tried calling airline and they suggested that only expedia can help. Nobody on customer care number from expedia replied numerous calls that we made. We had to suffer extreme tension and frustration; had to go back from airport and get a hotel in Delhi; had to get new tickets for a different day and different airline again which were costly. We could not join the office and had to take days off without pay. After reaching Canada, we called expedia to ask for refund but they simply denied saying visa requirements are with passengers not on us. So, in nutshell, if you donot want to loose your hard earned money and waste time, donot book with Expedia. They have worst customer support and service.

LOL wish I had seen these ratings before booking with them. Guess I'll just join the rant!I rented a car for my arrival at an international airport. I get to the airport and the car company doesn't even exist.Yeah - Expedia are liars and robbers. Book at your own risk.

I paid ~800 CAD + CANCELATION INSURANCE for a round-trip which had to cancel due to a sudden COVID-19 outbreak AND wildfire. Have been trying to use my OWN money that is hold by Expedia as Coupon"! NO LUCK! They are keep changing their policy with NO NOTICE and now charging me more than double the amount that they have on their OWN website for a Toronto to New York Flight + fees. Meaning that I will pay ~700 CAD for a ONE WAY trip to NYC

Very bad experience with expedia. I've booked a flight and it was indicated that it is free cancelation with a check mark but this is not true. When I decided to cancel my flight or do any changes only after one day from my booking. My flight three month from now but they told me that you have to pay cancelation fee $300 + tax! according to the airline. I am really disappointed with the service. They don't help you at all. They just tell you to deal with this. Hidden fees
