Crown Isle Resort & Golf Community

Recently spent a 5 day weekend at Crown Isle with family. Was so pleased with the level of service provided by all the staff.The rooms were spacious with a King sized bed, kitchenette and whirlpool tub. Also the added laundry facility was a great bonus we discovered with kids this was so helpful. The layout of the resort was great for excellent views of the course and close proximity to the restaurant, gym and clubhouse.We changed rooms part way through our stay and I realized I had lost an earring, assumed it was gone, but the cleaning staff found it and made sure it was returned to me. The level of detail was what floored me.All the staff were so kind to my daughter and made her feel a part of the entire weekend. Every person we met was friendly, helpful and kind. Thank you so much to the team at Crowne Isle! We will be back.

Beautiful course and club! Got to see the snowbirds flying above the driving range just amazing! Great food at the restaurant. I've always had a great experience when I visit Crown Isle!

Kitchen and bathrooms are starting to look a little dated. TVs are small and the cable functions are clunky. But you aren't here to watch TV. Beds are comfortable and overall everything is clean.

This was the second time I stayed at this resort and loved it even more. I had to travel to Courtenay for a medical appointment, which I mentioned at the front desk, only for the matter of chatting. I had originally booked a basic king room but was upgraded to a beautiful suite so I could relax after my appointment, and I received a discounted price because of my medical appointment. The suite in Folkestone was beautiful. It had a nice kitchen, dining and living room space with a double-sided fireplace, TV, lots of windows, and a glass door, which took me out onto a patio that overlooked the practice green. The king-size bedroom had a large ensuite with a walk-in shower and plenty of cupboard space. In the bedroom, there was a fireplace, TV, and a large jacuzzi tub, which also looked over the green. I almost felt guilty for being in such a nice suite by myself and for only one night. This is definitely my new go too resort.

It was a little pricey but worth it. The staff was great and very friendly. The course was in great shape and played well. The practice facilities were first rate and located close to the first tee which isn't always the case. We had dinner the night before and again the service was great and food was good. I love the location.

Just stayed for a weekend at this resort. It is truly a gem in Comox Valley. Aside from the views and well appointed villa rooms, I particularly was impressed with the extra attention for the welcome of my furkid Lucy. Extra towels, sheets, dog bowl, treats, waste bags and a welcome letter were awaiting my stay in the room upon arrival. That is above-and-beyond care when traveling with our beloved pets. I also enjoyed the warm and personable staff during my stay.

We arrived and had large ants in our bathroom around the toilet, shower, and bedroom carpet floor. We got moved to the next building over with no ants. Here is my overall review:-overall clean-our bedroom door was glass & didn’t have shade to avoid light coming from kitchen/living area. We put up a blanket so our son could sleep.-no blackout curtains on large windows, just blinds-the main door has a top window that anyone over 5’8 can see directly into your entire space-there is no AC in the bedroom there’s only a portable AC unit in the living area which is supposed to accommodate the entire space and it doesn’t-There is no ceiling fan in the master bedroom. It’s just a floor fan.-There is no in room dining on anything.-no pool or hot tub-our patio overlooked the golf course which was nice. We got to see people golfing but again lack of privacy but you are staying at a golf resort so it makes sense.-you have to walk quite far to get to the main dining area/front desk or you have to drive every single time or I guess you could rent a golf cart.-The front desk staff were very accommodating and niceOverall, I would not recommend staying here if you have kids.Reply to Crown Isle’s comment: I’m glad you are getting black out curtains. I wrote my review for parents with young children so they are aware. Secondly when I booked I stated we needed a crib, why was a crib brought to us … for a child. Also the resort being in a forest isn’t an excuse for having large black ants crawling around everywhere. I’ve stayed at cabins, and treehouses in the woods that didn’t have insects crawling around. Lastly I asked multiple times on the phone if food could be delivered, response was no. Then I was told they would have to ask the kitchen if we could take out breakfast. I received a phone call back that stated yes so we ordered to pick up. Thank you.

We had a horrible experience playing golf here.We started almost 30 minutes late behind two groups of five, then on the 2nd hole an obnoxious older man started to yell at us on the tee block to just hurry up and hit , while the group ahead were still in range, the man lost his mind while swearing and jeering us, we were shocked and let the man play through,Turns out the man worked for the golf club,Then later in the round the Marshall asked us to pick up the pace twice even though we waited on every tee to hit. The lady's with the man did apologize after the round perfusly telling us they were embarrassed. Any golf club that has workers that represent the club like that , you need to avoid. The golf course itself was quite dried out, the bunkers were unplayable and golf course itself hasn't enough room as we were against houses all the time. I would avoid this one, as there are real golf courses in the area that are far superior.

The rooms and location are beautiful!!! However, if you are just spending 1 night here, it's not really worth the price. Guaranteed check in is at 5, and even though the front desk staff were friendly, and tried to get me checked in early, it was 445. They also don't have front desk staff between the hours of 11pm and 630 am, so checking out and ensuring I got a cab on time proved a little tricky, but manageable.If you are staying here for a time, using it as a golfing vacation or wedding spot, the rooms are beautiful, comfortable, and clean. The staff are friendly, and golf course looks amazing.
