Cornerstone Montessori

We like to take the chance by thanking all the Cornerstone Montessori School teachers and staffs, for the past year, our daughter had learned so much, also grown so much, it’s sad we had to leave because of our jobs, it’s a great school with amazing teachers! Thank you Ms S. and Ms. K, thank you for your special care and attention, as my daughter always said Cornerstone is the best and I love Ms S and Ms.K so much! will miss all of you and little Hankie!

Cornerstone Montessori is a wonderful school that provides an enriched curriculum and instils in each student a genuine love of learning. I had the privilege of sending my children to Cornerstone Montessori and they absolutely loved it! My children always felt seen, loved and heard and they became self directed and enthusiastic learners. The teachers are incredibly caring and dedicated and the owner (Rita Gausman) is passionate about providing a top notch education to each child. I also had the pleasure of teaching at Cornerstone for many years and I was always impressed by how Rita cares deeply about her staff and the families. I will always have a special place in my heart for Cornerstone Montessori as it made me a better teacher and it provided my children with an incredible foundation. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

So first off ignore the name I was trying to be anonymous so I found this random email. Now this school is great in education but some gym classes they were less than great. So when you are proud of yourself in some area of sport that can go completely downhill you get classified as horrible and amazing. I never really got that because they're kids obviously they want a challenge so why not give it to them? It can ruin you self esteem so quick that after one class like that you feel absoslutly terrible. The only reason I'm writing this is because the feeling of being classified as non athletic or sucky is just horrible. I was in the postition where i had classes almost every day of the week but I was horrible well sorry I can't practice basketball full time. I don't want any more kids to go through any self esteem issues this honestly has to stop!

A very caring and professional staff!

It's a family run business so theres alot that goes on. We were told at the orientation walk through that we can reserve a spot for our daughter and leave a refundable deposit. Once we decided not to stay with that school we decided to stay with a public school we were told we cant get our money back. They state they have a wait list but are unable to return the deposit. The front desk receptionist is very rude and kept stating I don't believe anyone would tell you it's refundable.

I had the pleasure of meeting the intermediate staff of Cornerstone Montessori at an event. They were so inviting and kind. I would recommend this school to anyone!

My niece attends Cornerstone and loves the school. She is always proud to tell me about what she is working on and how much she likes her teachers. On the occasions that I pick her up from school I also get great vibes from the staff and other students. From the perspective of an aunt I would definitely recommend.

I started Cornerstone Montessori in kindergarten when I was 5 years old. I have very fond memories of my teachers and the principals. Our classes were small and the teachers took the time to help me develop into the adult that I am today. I was very social from early so they had their hands full to keep me focused on my school work.The teachers helped me learn how to care for others, we practiced our manners and how to respect everyone, no matter their situation. I'm still connected to some of my classmates from back then. It seems so long ago but good friendships stay strong over the years.Today, I'm a student athlete in university at Trinity Western and a lot of my values today I attribute to my parents and my formative years with the staff at Cornerstone.My name is Kenny Blackman Jr, student athlete at Trinity Western University, and I proudly endorse Cornerstone Montessori!

My daughter was there years ago and is now a successful student and athlete- all thanks to LEAVING cornerstone. Horrible school - Rita and Helga care only for themselves, the teachers likewise: the students are the least priority. They had unqualified teachers that additionally did not know how to deal with children’s feelings. The facilities are lacking and the best parts of the Montessori method are missing. I know many parents that left and others that wished they had left earlier.Stay away. I am glad we found out and left early in the school year.

My children have been at Cornerstone for 7 years. They are always excited to go to school and are proud of their daily accomplishments. My son has made immense progress in many areas, thanks to the support he has continually received from his teachers. While the academic standards are high, manners and respect are also top priority. My children are polite, confident and independent thinkers. I recommend them highly!
