The Alder Cafe + Grocery
The best blueberry scones in town! We stopped here during our e-bike excursion organized by FOOD BIKE TOUR in Canmore. The staff here is extremely pleasant and welcoming. The cafe is very clean, modern and has a lot to offer including groceries, fresh gelato, and baked goods. Hope to visit them again.

The Alder Cafe + Grocery
Stopped in to see the Alder Café and have a little lunch. The layout of the space is lovely. It is easy to move from the grocery area to the pâtisserie, the gelateria and right to the café. Ordering was easy and efficient at the cash then we chose a lovely seat by the huge windows. I had the Charred Spiced Ahi Tuna Bowl and my partner had the Grilled Double Smoked Ham + Aged Cheddar Panini. Service was great and friendly. The ahi tuna had a lovely deconstructed presentation and I loved the peppery crust on the tuna ❤ It was the perfect size portion as well. It comes with a poached egg which I didn't want and it was no problem to eliminate it from my order. I was very content with the variety of the bowl and the amount of food. I would definitely order this again. My partner loved his choice as well and said he would get it again. We had a hard choice to make between the gelato and the gorgeous pastries at the patisserie. We opted for the White chocolate strawberry slice. It was to die for! (and I am not a dessert person). Would definitely order it again altho all the pastries looked extremely tempting... we will be back again.

Beautiful cafe and grocery store in the Spring Creek development. Excellent coffee, breakfast and lunch options. Special thanks to Jay, who went out of his way to make sandwiches for us to take on our adventures in Banff each day. Very kind and helpful gentleman, thank you Jay! Highly recommend to all those staying in or visiting Canmore.

Located in the heart of the city, this cafe has quickly become one of my favorite breakfast spots. Their breakfast options are simply delicious, and the lovely open and spacious area of the restaurant makes it a great hangout spot for families and kids.The kid-friendly menu is a definite plus, and the staff is always courteous and attentive to your needs. I must say, I was really impressed with their breakfast sandwich and coffee, which were both excellently prepared and rich in flavor.Overall, I can easily recommend this cafe to anyone looking for a cozy and comfortable breakfast spot that opens early and offers great breakfast and lunch options.PS- cafe closes at 4pm and stops cooking around 330. Google timing is for the grocery store.

We tried this new cafe/bakery/grocery in Springcreek Canmore. Loved the food, drooled over the baked treats and enjoyed the very friendly staff and their service. Went back for more. Highly recommend it.

My wife received gift cards from work so we decided to go on a date. We are absolutely shocked by how big the portions were (it’s not easy to find good value in the Bow Valley) and how delicious it was. The miso beef stew was so good (please serve that regularly)!

Nice spacious coffee shop/cafe; huge windows, lots of light and mountain backdrop. Everything looked super... some decadent pastries and great looking breads. Settled for a fresh cinnamon roll with nice light icing and a good balance between dough and cinnamon. Good cappuccino. Off the Canmore beaten path, but it's worth a seeking out!
