Walmart Supercentre

Very hard to find items, especially since they moved a good portion of the food aisles. A lot of items I buy regularly always seem to be out of stock all the time and this is even before many store have been struggling to get merchandise with backorders, etc.

Made our last trip to Walmart. It is hard to believe how it went downhill since opening in Truro years ago. It was a good department store with enough knowledgable staff to help. Now it's just a grocery store with a few sidelines and a massive shortage of staff. The flyer is useless as the two items we wanted were out of stock. Overall a perfect example of corporate greed.

Very unhappy with how I was treated in the store!!!! I walked in to purchase a dog backpack and two clerks asked me to leave. I had a pug in my jacket and said to them if it does anything it would be in my jacket. They said NO and asked me to leave! NOT IMPRESSED!!!! There are many stores out there that are pet friendly YOU should wake the hell up!!! Walmart TRURO Nova Scotia

Dirty store, bare shelves. The 6 packs of Pepsi bottles had ice in them, and one had exploded. When I brought it to the attention of a worker, she shrugged and said Pepsi would sort it when they came in. Oranges and Celery were rotten.

Prices are not bad for groceries, but the place is a mess and terribly understaffed. Supervisors wander around trying to look concerned but don't actually do anything, like open a cash register to assist the ONE cashier that's on duty. It's always only one cashier, too. Not a pleasant shopping experience, but that's the state of retail these days. If the grocery prices increase I'm outta there.

The store was clean and bright. Prices were fair with a few good deals on fruit and veggies, which is what I was going in for. The lay out seems to run backwards so finding what I was looking for took longer than I anticipated. Over all it's a typical Walmart.

Overall not a well stocked store in most departments. The food/produce section is always in rough shape and their baby formula, toys and accessories is nearly non-existent. Adult clothing has a poor selection compared to other walmarts and the staff members don't seem to be present on most occasions.

One Star is for the customer service desk. But rolling the dice for good or poor service. I called to inquire about returning a product that I used once and it no longer worked. The girl said on the phone that is sounded defective and I could come in and they will look up my receipt to replace it. Awesome! So I drove in a few hours later, got a different lady that did not seem excited to see me. I told her my story and she said without a receipt they cannot do anything. So I mentioned I was told they could look it up if I knew the date of purchase. She said we can do that, leave me your information and we will look it up tomorrow and call you. I didnt want to come back again. So she said ok go home. So i did. Unfortunately there is nowhere on the Walmart website to express my displeasure and now Im stuck with a loss on a defective product.

As a senior I depend on cashiers,I was at the Truro store a few weeks ago and had a huge cartful of items,I just had a big operation and not 1 cashier was open,I had no choice to go to self checkout or do without my much needed items $200 worth,,I will not be shopping at any Walmart in the future,I find it discusting that a senior has to go self check out ,some in a wheelchair or walkers,you lost my business,,sad but true.

The produce must be substandard. The entire area is full of fruit flies.Shelves are always empty.And they are training us to do self check by keeping most of the cashiers closed. Sorry, I don't work there. If I have to use self check out, I expect to get the employees' discount.
