I had a wonderful 7 days at Fresh Start that exceeded my expectations. The staff and practitioners were professional, knowledgeable and invested in my overall wellbeing & experience. Best investment I have made to date. I highly recommend Fresh Start for anyone who is looking to improve their well being and get in touch with their higher self. I had a life changing experience here through education, self care, an enriching diet, diverse treatments in a beautiful setting but more than anything the people were amazing on every level. I went there with my mom and it was almost laughable.You may intrigue some wealthy islanders with some basic juices, cleanses but I have been not too many retreats but enough to know this was a major rip off. I could do a better job in my back yard.I would NOT waste my money here, surprised they’re still in business but most guests were elderly and affluent, and in my opinion gullible.

A truly transformative experience for me. Doing the three week program (you can do 1-3 week programs) helped me release childhood trauma (complex PTSD) and my emotional dis-regulation. The individualized care, extensive treatment, activity schedule and absolutely gorgeous surroundings made this a total life changing experience. I have never felt better. Having been abused as a child and then highly driven in my stressful career until age 35 when I was diagnosed with symptoms of what some doctors label as a bipolar condition, I have struggled my entire life. This holistic and caring approach has changed my life giving me a fresh start.The inn, The Ocean Resort is right on the ocean and beautiful. Very comfortable clean rooms and service that goes above and beyond made my three week stay felt like a home away from home.

My three-week experience here has rejuvenated my body and spirit. Starting with the amazing food, the available treatments and programs, the informative lectures, the loving and empathetic staff, and my fellow participants, I just have nothing but praise and appreciation. When I arrived I was totally depleted from a lengthy period of nursing my husband, ending in his death. We were together for 52 years and I was even unsure if I could carry on. Three weeks doesn’t sound like a long time but it was long enough to start me on a healthy, emotionally balanced lifestyle. I’m definitely coming back.

A incredible program and experience!Outstanding treatments, gifted (and otherworldly) therapists, counsellors and staff, fabulous plant based meals (served daily with love) and beautiful ocean, mountain and forest surroundings are just a few of the elements that came seamlessly together to make my experience sublime. So much more than I could have ever imagined.Fresh Start is total nourishment for the mind, body and soul.

Fresh Start was the perfect health retreat to refocus on healthy eating. The program consists of not only healthy meals, but training and lessons on the benefits to the body of healthy eating. They provide a wide array of daily classes and activities: there was no dull moment! I also really enjoyed the vast fitness activities to choose from: walks, yoga, and exercise classes. The small group size of the program is a real benefit as you receive individualized attention from the staff. The staff is very welcoming and knowledgeable in their specialized fields. They are happy to explain nutritional values and their experiences, in a non-intimidating manner. I have been able to take what I learned here and apply it to my daily routine at home. Unbelievable experience. The name says it all (Fresh Start) And That's exactly what you get. You leave the retreat, so refreshed, calm, exited and happy.
