Here's an honest review of my experience at this place just a half hour ago. My intention is not to bash the place but rather to give the reader some truthful and hopefully helpful insights. Here we go : If you eat in, you will be greeted with a bottle of water, very much under the impression that it's being offered to you. It's not and you will be charged 2$ for it. The 'special for two' really is enough for a party of 4, which is exactly why we wanted to order only one but the waiter insisted we should get two specials saying it wouldn't be enough. He was also pretty pushy on the Lassies, we ended up getting two. Let's talk about the food now : The fish in the fish curry was undercooked (most likely frozen fish that bathed in the sauce but not quite long enough); The shrimps in the shrimp curry? Overcooked. The dessert had a hair in it. To be fair, the sauces were ok and the chicken kebab was interesting. All in all, I would say definitely don't eat there. It might do the job if you're desperately looking for some take-out and you have no other option. The bill was ridiculous. I for sure am never going back there again.

Don't let that very discreet looking façade fools you! It's an amazing place to enjoy Indian food at very good price. The owner and his helper were welcoming and didn't hesitate to recommend us the best dish they have ( and he didn't lie ) . The mango lassis were delicious and since we were looking to get spicy food, we didn't regret! The taste and the spice level were mixing very well for our taste.I'd definitely recommend this lovely place as well as the Combo AA.

Being an Indian I can say that taste is nowhere near Indian dish. The owner claims that his food is cheaper but it’s possible due to following reasons. 1. No waiter 2. Low standard dine in service. The owner serves himself. 3. Says there is no drinking water. Mandatory to buy the bottled water. Makes deliberately spicy food so that people will drink more bottled water. He didn’t follow my diet preference. Even he asked the customer to put the bottle back in the fridge if he/she doesn’t use it.And lastly he is not Indian and making bad Indian dishes and making money by using India’s name.Be aware of this place. I have no idea how he got good rating.

Amazing restaurant for Indian food! The samosas were huge and freshly fried and cheap, the butter chicken and saag paneer were excellent. I could tell that the naan was freshly made, it was so soft and buttery. Very big portions and quick service too. Will be back!

Quite affordable and tasty Indian food. A small dining room delivers a more cozy experience. They don't offer free tap water, only bottled. I personally found the food a bit greasier than usual but it was acceptable. Overall a positive experience.

Had an amazing experience at this place. Great place to dine or take out if you are looking for Indian food in Montreal. You would be eating at a restaurant but still feel like dining at home, the food is authentic and original flavoured. Service was amazing, price is totally worth for the quality and quantity both. If you are not familiar with traditional spice levels of Indian food,it can be really spicy for you but don’t hesitate to let the server know, they will adjust the spice level accordingly. Saag paneer was so delicious which was served with hot naan from tandoor. Chicken biryani was delicious, with a great number of boneless chicken in it, served with raita and salad on the side. If you are Indian you know the feeling of “Maaza” try it out! They have a small unit so sitting area is small and limited to two tables but that shouldn’t stop you from eating or taking out from this place. Rukon is a hardworking individual running this little place in the heart of Montreal for about 25 years. I highly recommend supporting this local business. Definitely recommend this place. :) :) Don’t judge the book by its cover, try it and experience the beauty of Indian cuisine here.

We ordered suggestion AA and everything served was absolutely delicious. We enjoyed our meal and would recommend it to everyone. The place was neat, service was fast and food was everything we expected. Would definitely visit when in Montreal

One of my favourite spots for Indian food in Montreal. The food is super fresh and cooked on the spot.The owner is super friendly too and loves to make sure his customers are well taken care of.Everything I’ve ordered from here is always super delicious. Would definitely keep going back and highly recommend for those who haven’t tried yet.
