I saw a post regarding Larry. I walked in hoping to meet him, and DID! Very kind, down to earth gentleman and at a location decorated with all kinds of history and stories. Will be going back to see him again!

This place was completely unexpected. We stopped by because we saw the sign for the cafe while driving by and decided to pop in. At first, we were surprised since we were expecting something different. Turns out, the place is really relaxed, and we had a good time just taking in the (musical) atmosphere. We enjoyed coffee and dessert, but would love to go back to try the other food served. We'll also need to stop by again for the live music - we missed it having gone daytime! Awesome tunes, cool vibe.

The place was pretty busy, but the service was attentive and fast. I loved all the green plants and decor. Sol Cafe also sells the various plants that are sitting around the store, but they were a bit pricey in my opinion. Lots of people were working and chatting. Overall, it's a great local spot and super convenient to the Howard CTA stop.

TLC is a great Cafe for a nice quiet and warm experience. The owner Larry often plays his guitar and provides a very personal and enjoyable experience :) I highly recommend it for good home cooking and great prices.

This place is great. Lots of sandwiches and soups, amazing dealer specials. I got turkey with mashed potatoes, stuffing and carrots for $11, and it was great! Run by one man, who entertains by playing great live music. I have never been more wowed.

Went here for the first time a few days ago. I ordered the Reuben sandwich and a side of potato pancakes. My sister ordered the eggs Benedict. I have to say - the food was delicious , the owner / server was great. I will say my 1 complaint is the food is over-priced for portion size and it's an older crowd ( I felt like I was at a seniors club and I'm 29 lol) but stepper food none-the-less.

Great atmosphere. It's easy to feel like you're at home especially when its combined with good food. Larry does a great job of encouraging talent of all ages to come out to his weekly open mic and play music for his patrons. It's truly a win win for everyone.

I have walked past TLC many times and today, I went in.GREAT place, GREAT food and a very relaxing atmosphere. Obviously, they have live music, but none this afternoon when I stopped in. I will DEFINITELY be frequenting this great find again and again.
