Bicyclette Tranquille

Poor quality bicycle and even poorer service.I bought a new bike with hydraulic disk brakes from them in September 2021. I cycle to commute to work, as well as for fun. My bike has been functional for about 3 out of 10 months that I've owned it, and the shop still is unable or unwilling to resolve critical issues.(1) New bike constantly needed adjustments" for grinding

Absolutely no appreciation for customers loyalty. We purchased 2 bikes from them valued at approx 800$ each + all the accessories, upgraded seat, helmets, carrying rack & sack etc…and unfortunately our bikes were stolen from our garage. They would not supply us a copy of our purchase for the police report unless we paid 50$ WOW !!! When insurance pays us to re purchase we will definitely not give them our business. Very disappointed ☹️

Took in multiple bikes (4) mid June to replace the tubes as the tubes were getting old , not holding air well, and I was about to travel a long way from repair shops. Paid for 8 tubes and labour to replace.3 days into the trip and the same tires are going flat on our bikes. Luckily we were still camping within a short distance (3h drive!) of a repair shop, as our trip has just begun. Using the bikes a handful of times around the campground was enough to deflate.Took the bikes into Centre Du Vélo La Shop in Ottawa. Told them what was happening. They replaced all the tubes.Turns out, our old tubes were never replaced! The date stamps and wear the Ottawa shop showed us prove as much.So what did I pay for leaving our bikes over night for tube replacements?Reply from owner Sorry about that but I didn't remember you just to come at the bike shop and we gone check that for you when customer asked to change tube we changed if you said just check if its flat we put air and 24 hrs later nothing we don't change nothing for fun"To which I'll reply:For fun? I was extremely specific that the leak was slow

Customer service was garbage.The owner, Yvon doesn't value English speaking customers. I was ignored and was walked away from several times. I had to chase him around his shop, including outside to ask questions and request help.He would not take a solid 2 mins to chat and explain without running off, while I was trying to purchasing an ebike over $2000. I guess once a separatice, always a separatice!!Took my $$$$$$ elsewhere, loser!!!

Only go here if you get a flat and you really have no other options.On my first visit, I showed them that I was having issues with my rear brake. They seemed fairly confident that replacing the cable would solve it. They took the bike, took my phone number, did not give me a ticket or the fact that I had to keep the ticket (they were blaming me for losing ticket afterward... don't worry it gets better).In 1.5 weeks, they replaced the cable... of the wrong brake. I told them my rear brake still doesn't work... and they claim I should have told them.You're the mechanic, it would take you exactly 10 second to see the brake isn't working. Cost me 30$. I gave them the benefit of the doubt, maybe I should have been clearer. So I leave the bike again so that can finish the job. Now mind you, I am waiting 1 week, 2 week and not a single call.I keep calling them to get the status, every single time they tell me they will get back to me, they never do.I get fed up, so I go to pick up my bike, and surprise surprise. They replaced the back cable. I am again charged 30$. To be honest, I am not a confrontational person. I was just happy to have my bike back. They did such a botched job that my brake was probably worse than before. I spent 60$+, was without my bike for 3.5 weeks with nothing to show for it.Finally, I brought it to an actual repair shop, (I went to Mecano cycle but Im pretty sure anywhere else is better than this spot). They had to redo the botched job (cable) and replace my rear brake pads. They did this whole thing in under 20 minutes.Advice to management, don't take on bikes you cannot fix. Keep doing the amateur jobs that you can actually finish.I wish I could get back the time and money I spent on this but just warning the rest of you will suffice for now.

This guy's a real grouch! All we needed was the quick use of a wrench for an emergency, and he made a huge deal of it. The kicker was that the owner of somewhat-nearby Cycle Robert was able to help out no trouble, and gave friendly service. I'd recommend going there instead

Excellent Bike Shop. Took my Norco mountain bike in for tune up and new shifters. Cost exactly what the estimated and the bike is in perfect shape now. I recommend this shop to everyone. Great price, Great service.

This place gets no stars from me. Horrible service. Went here to buy a bike for my birthday. Short guy with long hair kept brushing me off. I took the bike off the rack myself to look at it. He told my husband to tell me to get out of the way so he can place the bikes. Rude, unprofessional, horrible customer service. Left and went to Bike Shop on Airlie. So helpful,friendly and kind. Bought my bike right then and there. Do not waste your money at Bicyclette Tranquille. Go to Airlie bike shop.

Perfect place for all your bicycle needs!! I bought 3 bikes there over the years, very happy with all of them! Excellent customer service, Jonathan is very knowledgeable and helpful. Thank you! Highly recommend!!

I've had some decent and some bad experiences here. Some staff can be unpleasant and argumentative. I speak french so i get the more pleasant service don't go to this shop if you cant speak french. You will do better elsewhere. Try Rossi bikes & ski2500 Bd Saint-Joseph, Montreal, Quebec
