We were introduced to Nate through our sons, both of whom own property on Quadra Island. We saw the work that Nate did on the renovation of one of the properties and were sold on his vision and workmanship.We tasked Nate and his crew with quite a challenge-convert a large, old, uninsulated storage shed into a dream cottage.Nate was more than equal to the task and we now occupy a beautiful island retreat.We found Nate to be an excellent communicator who responded to emails and texts promptly. HIs workmanship is of very high quality, he gives attention to detail and he has access to, and smoothly manages a team of sub trades who meet his high standards.While working through the project we found Nate to be respectful of our ideas yet able to make suggestions that enhanced the final product.Meeting timelines is always difficult when building or renovating particularly when this takes place on an island. Our project wascompleted on time to our complete satisfaction.We would highly recommend Nate and his crew to anyone with a new build or renovation project large or small.

I met Nathan through a family connection. From the outset, there was clear and easy communication with him. Going above and beyond was also the order of the day for him. Our first opportunity to discuss the project fell on a weekend. This wasn’t an issue for Nathan, as he jumped on the ferry and gave us the afternoon to talk about the project and how he might be able to assist. Once we determined he would be able to tackle the project, things continued to move very quickly. He let us know when his crew would first be on site and the expected timelines for each phase of the project. Building on Quadra, during Covid, with labour and building shortages is about as tricky as it gets. Still, the project got done, in my view, in an extremely reasonable timeline, and within the timelines allotted. This despite the reno being a major project including rebuilding a fireplace, exterior and interior structural changes and building out two rental suites. There were many trades on site, all of which were well managed, and all fell within their quotes. To the extent quotes or trades had to change, this was all discussed prior to any work happening which meant no surprises for us and allowed us to manage our budget for the build extremely well. The attention to detail and the ability to see the project holistically resulted in a truly spectacular transformation of our home and has become an oasis for us on Quadra, while also allowing us to take revenue out of the property as a result of the rental suites. In short, Nathan is our guy and we hope to continue to work with him on all our projects going forward.
