Great folks and great glass!!

Husband got us a class as a gift for christmas. Had a fabulous time learning to make glass icicles using the lampwork technique. Kristan is a delightful teacher and person. Will definitely be trying a class again as this is kind of addictive. When you go, be sure to have a map saved if you plan on using your phone a gps, as there is no cell service in the area. This is an outing that will not disappoint.

I traveled from Thunder Bay, Ontario to Passmore, BC to study flameworking with Brook and Kristan Hoskins for one month. Their curriculum took me from beginner status to making human figures in glass. I learned to make mandrel beads, mushroom pendants, implosions, vortex marbles, flowers, animals, and human figures. It was a very intensive, challenging, and inspiring experience. Brook and Kristan are friendly, knowledgeable, experienced, competent, and flexible teachers who also spent hours talking to me about how to set up my own shop at home. Thank you, Wildfire Productions for getting me started in this amazing art form!

OMG Kristan was AMAZING! I had booked an icicle making class with her for my partner and myself, Kristan took some time to get to know us and help us get to know her. She explained all the aspects, then demonstrated how it's done before telling us do it with her guidance. The overall experience was awesome, we're definitely going to do it again! I would 1000% recommend this!

My boyfriend ad I took the opportunity to do a weekend getaway with wildfireglass, as experienced glasses we didn’t know what to expect. When we arrived, we quickly fell in love with thier little family, farm and studio, which is tucked away in the mountains of the Slocan Valley. We were invited to work with a variety of glass mediums, including working in a glass hot shop, soft glass fusion and a fully outfitted scientific borosilicate studio. We also woke up to fresh baked bread in the morning and delicious home made meals through the day. They have a complete outdoor camping area as well as in house accommodations. The farm is family friendly with an awesome back yard zip line even a grown adult can enjoy! (may have been one my my favourite things). During one of the hot days we took a break and ventured to an amazing waterfall to cool down! I will add there is no cell service, so it is a great opportunity to unplug from the busy world of today! Learn a new skill, challenging yourself and have fun. You will leave not wanting to leave.
