Boxcar Donuts - Masonville
My experience with Boxcar. The week's special flavour Lemon Meringue Pie was delicious with the citrus not overpowering the donut and meringue was fluffy and great balance to the tartness of the lemon filling without having a sour after taste. The chocolate dip had the right amount of chocolate that was well balanced and you can tell this is no big chain chocolate dip. The side cars are tasty maybe a little less sugar would make them stand out. The cinnamon twist was good but a lighter glace may balance out the donut. The apple fritter was delicious and the best I have tasted within the London Area. Coffe was good and fresh. Location is great with ample parking. Staff is courteous and friendly. Debit and Cash may be a downside if your not prepared. Highly recommend! They sell out throughout the day and it's while quantities last so get their early. Flavours change every Tuesday and only available until Sunday of that week.

Nothing like waiting in line for over a half hour just to watch donuts sell out. Arrived at about 1005am (5 mins after location opened) to a line out the door which is not surprising cause the donuts are good… however, by the time we were able to select our donuts (approx 1040) most had been sold out. No offence but you all know how busy your location is, how are you in a position where you are selling out 40 mins into your day…we’ve also been trying to get honey butter donuts for the last 3-4 weekends and they are never in stock but are supposedly an “always donut”..

They don’t offer credit- they could offer this and have a policy that the customer has to pay a fee to use credit instead of being so inconvenient. If you go after 12 PM, all of the popular donuts are gone and they close at 4 PM so you can never grab this as dessert after work… I honestly don’t understand their business model… terrible hours, and they haven’t learned by now to make a larger quantity of the popular donuts when they can obviously see day after day that those are the ones that go first. Yes I am aware that you can pre-order but you’re the one missing out on anyone that spontaneously wants to stop after work or anytime after 12 PM. I guess this is somehow working for them. Perhaps this is a good thing because I would be a huge customer if they were open until 6 PM and I don’t want to get fat, so really, you’re doing me a favour. Thanks boxcar.

Nice location with parking unlike the downtown one. Almost missed by it because the store is located far off the end and at the corner of the plaza.Clean location but mostly just for pick up as there's a very limited dedicated seating area in the store.Ordered ours through their website for pick up. We ordered churro and was pleased to find that they made the churro on the spot once we arrived for pick up.Churro was crunchy outside, just slightly soft inside, not very airy. Also ordered a dulce de Leche dip and it was super sweet. It tasted like they added sugar powder to the dulce de Leche.Their dough is more bread-like than most other donut place I've tried. And the yeast flavour is quite strong. In contrast, I always find that their frosting or the filling doesn't do justice in delivering the flavour that it is supposed to have according to the flavour of the donut.Their fritter was the best. It was huge, and the yeast flavour and the bread-like texture of their dough works really well with the fritter.

Plenty of parking in the attached parking lot. They are located right in the back corner.Good selection of donuts for sale. We went in around 1pm and the selections were limited as they make a limited number of each donut. If you are looking for specific donuts, it's best to preorder the donuts the day before. Next time we plan on going we will preorder donuts just to ensure the ones we want are available.Only cash and debit are accepted here so make sure you have your payment ready.

The donuts are 5 stars yummy. Had a lemon and bluberry dip. But they do not have tables to sit but only tiny benches and stools. A cafe without tables is a first for me, and I have been to 100s of ages across the globe. Also, they do not take credit cards. And thus can't give 5 star.

Great customer service, delicious donuts, a little bit pricey but I understand if they want to pay above a living wage to their staff. Some of their popular donuts were sold out so I'm willing to go back again perhaps.It would have been five stars if they were to accept my credit card. I know the merchant service can charge some ridiculous fees but it's an important factor to me that sometimes I won't bother purchasing when a store does not accept it; I'd rather pay an extra fee if I need to.

I'm not a big donut fan, but BoxCar is an exception! Incredibly fluffy and delicious, good size donuts too. Their drinks aren't too bad either. They do sell out often, so you need to get them quick! I remember grabbing a snack 15 mins after they opened on Saturday, and there was already a line up almost out the door after me.I have tried next day future orders and had no problems with their product or pick up. My only issue is their website isn't the most co-operative and has a couple quirks you need to figure out, but still worth it for their donuts.
