Unspeakably bad. I normally get my groceries at other branches of Thriftys but stopped in at this branch when I was in the neighbourhood. The checkout configuration is appalling and confusing. They have made it half “self” checkout and turned it into the look and feel of walmart, complete with the abysmal customer service. Go to a different branch, or go elsewhere. This place is horrendous.

So, so crowded. Why on earth did they take down the dividers between checkout aisles? Don't come here if you're agoraphobic or germophobic. You will have people on all sides who don't know what personal space is. Very stressful environment, especially when the line starts to go all the way around the store and people forget how to behave.

Nice new store. Great decor and size. Wonderful addition to the new Belmont Market.

This is not a big store but it is a great place to shop for food. The produce section is good. Their meat and poultry are also good. The deli section has cold cuts, cheeses and cooked snack and food.Vitamins and supplements are also available.Parking is limited due to construction.

They are really good to the kids. They will give them a cookie and a balloon. They also give free 1st birthday cakes which is really cute. The staff is really nice.

Recently I attempted to purchase a single item at the customer servicedesk, as I had done numerous times previously without issue. I was rudely and condesendly informed that I must enter the line for all of the human run tills, unless I am buying a lottery ticket or tobacco. I Grudgingly complied, entered the line, and waited for my turn.I returned the next day, now aware of the supposed policy, and entered the line for the tills in order to get to customer service. I watched about 3 people cut in front this line to check out with a few items at customer service, none of whom purchased any lottery or tobacco. Frustrated, I asked the workers at customer service what their policy was, and they proceeded to tell me that it was less than 10 items.Make a consistent policy, and don't condescend your customers because your establishments policies are inconsistent. Will not be returning, hopefully a manager sees this.

A good clean conveniently located full service grocery store right in the heart of the city. Close to downtown and in the historic centre! Friendly and attentive staff and fully and well stocked. Full Bakery, florist shop, outdoor plants, health food section also.

I have been shopping here for a couple years now but not by choice. I am disabled and physically can not go anywhere else. I go in daily and usually hand an employee a handful of expired or moldy products or things that rodents have clearly gotten in to. This is a daily occurrence. I am afraid to eat food from the only store I have access to because of how poorly these situations have been handled. On the 29th of June I noticed a product that said the 28th of June so I brought it to a staff member. It is now currently July 2nd and I have brought that product to someone every single day and they keep putting it on the shelf. I have spoken to so many employees and many of them have been horribly rude towards me. We don't feel safe eating food from here. We avoid eating a lot of the time because we don't want to shop here but we don't have other options. I feel like no one at this store will take it seriously. I have talked to managers on occasion but a lot of the time when I've asked to speak to a manager I'm told there isn't one in the store. I could go on and on about issues in this store. I've taken well over 50 photos of things I have found in this store and I remember to take a photos maybe 1 out of 10 times. AVOID THIS STORE IF YOU CAN!

definitely wouldn’t call it “thrifty” but it’s got everything you need and a little fancier than you’re used to for a grocery store. not being from Canada, my husband and i sought out the most canadian foods we could and i think they were pretty well across most canadian specialty foods.oh — one thing. they don’t sell any alcohol in grocery stores in CA (not even beer and wine), but there was a bottle shop just around the corner and they had fab selection.

Why I bother to go to customer service and subject myself to a couple of old bags that have been working for Thriftys since day one from the 50's and have totally lost all customer service skills and prefer to gossip about other people rather than actually serving a customer. Time to retire, ladies!! Move on and make room for people who still have life" in them."
