This group is so wonderful for kids as well as adults. For myself, I have gained mobility, agility and built strength- all in a fun martial art form.My daughters have been with this group for 4 years and they absolutely love it. It helps with fitness, working in a group as well as individuals, learning the culture, language, music and does so much for their self-confidence. The Instructors are amazing people that truly care. Being part of this is like being part of a family. I highly recommend it.

I was looking for a Capoeira class for my daughter (11 hrs old), we went to probably 5 of the Capoeira groups in Calgary, and after this the decision was easy, the approach that Instructor Chino and Gigante use make it a very safe and welcoming environment with lots of fun for the kids while building their confidence, strength and they also learn some Portuguese and music.A couple of weeks after my daughter joined I decided to join the adults classes (btw I’m in my 40’s) they are also fun and welcoming with the added challenge to improve yourself physically and supported by a very nice group of people, I would definitely recommend Capoeira classes with this amazing group, but don’t take my word, see it by yourself with one of their free classes!

Capoeira Brasil Calgary is one our favorite places to be on Mondays and Thursdays. The transformation I see on my son is pretty amazing. The instructors are humble, wise and approachable. My children feel home there. I feel alive only by observing the training. Highly recommended for families.

I decided to stop by a class after not training capoeira for several years. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming and I didn’t feel judged. The instructors are very experienced and knowledgeable, and have a way of teaching the accommodates all levels. I feel like this is a great group for beginners looking to try a new sport, as well as the experienced looking for quality instruction.
