I got to know EMCN from my friend, and the service is much better than I thought. Training classes on job catching, resume and cover letter writing are pretty useful. Mrs. Christine Duong's one-on-one service on resume and cover revising and Dana Eklics's mock job interview are the sharp tools to find a job. I therefore highly recommend EMCN to all newcomers.

Great place for Newcomers. I had several meetings and conversation with the EMCN knowledgeable and friendly Career Practitioner, Christine Duong. She taught me to edit and prepare my CV and other application materials and helped me to be competitive in job searching when I was experiencing a hard time finding a proper job after my graduation from university during the pandemic. Thank you EMCN and Christine!

Recently, my family and I had the pleasure of attending an interesting event at the Edmonton Mennonite Center for Newcomers (EMCN). As newcomers to Edmonton, we had been caught up in the daily challenges and hadn't had much time to connect with the local community. However, we had positive experiences with the helpful and friendly specialists at EMCN.On June 29, we joined the Multicultural Neighborhood Block Party at the center, called Meeting with Summer." It was a fun-filled event with great music and a wide range of activities for everyone to enjoy. The children were especially thrilled with options like trampolines

I visited the centre in month of Oct-22 to meet Ms Christine Duong. I was amazed to see all professionals in EMCN, starting from Saham Majeed at front office, then Ahmed. It was great to have professional approach and guidance from Christine to review my credentials, required trainings and enrollment in ongoing prep sessions to know more about local market, its requirement and response. Christine scheduled my prep with Kasara-Lynn, Julie McCrea and others, It was really helpful to get prep from the professionals especially with Julie McCrea.I'm thankful to Christine for her patience, her line by line documents review, follow-up calls and emails, in person interaction and most important the positive energy and a hope in every meet and in all follow-ups. Her critical thinking and to-the-point approach is a great learning for me.She inspired me so much that I had offered my services for Edmonton Mennonite Centre in any suitable role; especially for project management, planning and scheduling, construction, PMP prep etc.
