Algonquin College Ottawa Campus

I have had a wonderful experience attending the Algonquin College Ottawa Campus. Not only are the professors knowledgeable and accommodating, but there is also a great sense of community among students. I am grateful for the opportunity to grow and pursue my academic goals at this school.

The school itself is very nice. But no one seems to care about students living arrangements from what I have seen. My child is a student and she has to constantly put up with the roommate smoking pot almost daily in the dorm. Which is not allowed!! The roommate's boyfriend appears to be living there and are complete slobs. She comes home every weekend because she can't handle it. She has tried complaining to the school and so have we but we seem to get the run around. The school is great. So many career paths that you can choose from. But, I do not recommend dorm life.

So huge and big campus. Visited first time for Ielts examination.

The campus is clean and aesthetically very well made and managed.The cafeteria food is better than most schools however the consistency isn't there all the time. The prices could be cheaper however they aren't crazy expensive.The gym/ Recreational Center is probably the best part of the place. For anyone who's trying to hit fitness goals or just have fun bowling or eat in the bar restaurant it is a great place for you. However, it can be annoying because if you forget your student card they won't let you in. So if you made a large trip to Algonquin College and you don't have your student card they provide no empathy and just straight out reject you.My experience with the teachers is overall positive. Most of the staff is there to help you in your educational Journey. However like all schools there are some teachers that can be on your bad side.Overall Algonquin College is a great place for international students and students that live in Ottawa. I have no major complaints overall. I do not use the student residence building. However, it does seem to be very enjoyable and is extremely close to the campus.

It feels like high school with super racist professors, there ego is up to the roof. I’m current student there and can’t wait until I finish. THEY STEEL YOUR MONEY BY LAW. They don’t teach well and always they will give you a timetable that works for there needs of classrooms which will definitely destroy your whole week.Definitely not recommend this institution for anyone.

Not worth your sanity. Management and most teachers simply do not do their jobs. Can't get too mad at the teachers since they are all hired on a part-time basis though. If you can, go to another school. This college simply doesn't care. Great food services though.

If anyone is taking Advertising and Marketing here, watch out for Gina Gianetto as she is so bad at teaching, gives so much busy work, and will at least fail almost half of the class for her poor teaching skills and ridiculous expectations. This college should do something about this professor rather than let her continue teaching. Unfortunately like practically every post secondary institution in this country, students are deemed as funding units"."

A gorgeous campus. Lots of activities and facilities. The gym building is a must-go! The campus is open 24*7, and the library is an excellent place to chill. Can't wait for the opening of the Algonquin LRT station.

I really like this campus. It is very walkable, and there is lots of parking and convenient public transportation links. I love how you can walk across most of the campus in winter, without ever going outdoors. There are some overpasses and underground passageways connecting key buildings on campus. There are little cafes and cafeterias all over the campus. The recent addition of graffiti and murals from well-known Canadian street artists makes the campus a fun place to walk.The only problem is that it is extremely hard to navigate the campus and get from one building to another until you become very familiar with the setup. All the signs on this campus are really confusing and it is difficult to figure out which building you are in and how to get to a different buildings. Building B is hell on earth when it comes to the layout.
