Goldies Fries
I've tried a LOT of French fries all across the country and this place has the best fries in Canada. Portions are huge and prices are fair. Darryl, the owner is a wonderful man who takes a lot of pride in his food and really cares about his customers. Definitely check this place out.

Very friendly service, I felt like I just walked in to my buddy's kitchen. I went straight for poutine and was not disappointed. Portion size is very reasonable for the price, $10 for a few pounds in a wide and deep take out container. Golden fries with skin on that keep their crisp in defiance of the gravy. The cheese and gravy are perfectly distributed across and through the depth of the fries. That gravy though, is something else. It's worth writing to google about.This easily one of my top 5 poutines. 10/10

Goldies Fries
Been going to Goldies for years. Don’t get out as often as I’d like, but at least when we can we do. Before I met my spouse, my mom, dad and I have been eating Goldies for many years, from visiting during tailgates at the old Bomber stadium, to visiting in the exchange during the summer. Happy to support every season. Everything is 5 ⭐️

Since my review on his Facebook page never got posted I’m rewriting it. I’ve heard great reviews for this place and I was finally able to try it for lunch yesterday. I was satisfied with the food but however I was not happy at the fact the owner forced me to buy my coworkers lunch as well kept my change for his tip (I would have gave him a tip but he didn’t give me that option) I told him multiple times that it was separate he said “no you’re paying for her lunch” and we felt very uncomfortable with the situation and I felt taken advantage of. I will not be back terrible customer service.

The deluxe poutine and bacon cheese burger were both very good and reasonably priced. The owner is very nice and a pleasure to chat with while I waited for my food.

Great fries, great poutine, and very nice service. They were friendly, and kind. I will definitely come back when I've got a craving for awesome poutine, and I will eat it ASAP because those fries are sooo good fresh. Fried onions are always free but I think next time I might hold the onions.

This is absolutely the best service and food in Winnipeg. Five stars is not enough to express how amazing Goldies is. Whenever I have to work in person, I stop by Goldie not just for the food but the friendship. There is no other place like Goldies and I highly recommend a visit.

Just was working in the area came for something quick an it was a great experience the people who work there are super friendly an there portion sizes are great would definitely recommend
