Phone them for a Takeout so they could save commission on SkipTheDishes. The have new increst price on menu in the store, but did not update SkipTheDishes app. I asked to bill me the price on Skip as that's the price I'd get if I make them pay commission on SKIP, which is worse off for them. However, they insist on charing me the new menu increase price. It's a matter of $5 extra, but I never coming back! I used to buy from this restaurant once or twice a month, but I'll never come back.

Had combination platters A and B chicken ball and shrimp ball. 23$Rice is kinda dry and hard. Vegetables not bad. Decent Chicken and Shrimp Balls.

Their dim sum and Chinese dishes are good. However, do not expect to have the same for the service. Also, the quality is not consistent.The dim sum during happy hours is cheaper.

Delicious rich flavor soup with vermicelli and other add on meat a and veggies. Dinsum is also good but not recommended fried shrimp roll for thick wrapper and little stuffed shrimp.

I ordered chicken fried rice and chicken balls. Rice arrived with nothing mixed in it at all, not only was zero vegetables or egg their was hardly any chicken either. The worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant please avoid this place for the sake of you and your family . Chicken balls were also very poor quality and we eat Chinese food all the time just won't order here again.

The ambiance of the restaurant was cozy and welcoming, with tasteful decor and comfortable seating.But the real standout was the food. Every dish we tried was absolutely delicious, from the perfectly cooked mixed vegetables to the mouth-watering Fried Longli Fish with Onion and Ginger Soy Sauce. The chefs clearly put a lot of care and attention into each dish, and it showed in every bite.What really impressed us was the variety on the menu - there was something for everyone, whether you're in the mood for classic comfort food or something a bit more adventurous. And everything we tried was cooked to perfection, with the right balance of flavors and textures.Overall, we had a fantastic experience at Southland Restaurant. The service was top-notch, the atmosphere was inviting, and the food was absolutely delicious. We would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great meal in Winnipeg.

I had a great experience and dinner at Southland 新旺角酒家！The restaurant is pretty spacious and bright. And it is traditional Chinese restaurant. Look at the picture on the top of the counter shows Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was there with the owner and Chief before! Quite honourable! I had a Boiled Free Run Chicken With Red Onion Soy Sauce and a Steamed Tofu Seasoned With Ground Shrimp! Both quantity and quality were met my expectation! It was plain, tasty, and fresh! The service was prompt and friendly! Will definitely come back! Highly recommended!
