Got the 8oz haddock with chips. The fish was delicious, batter was good and not too greasy. The tartar sauce was also good. I docked a star because the fries were not good; they didn't taste good or have any salt. I would buy the fish again but hesitant to get it with the fries. Really liked that there was a takeout window to pickup from outside!

Update: The Manager (Jim) reached out and personally dropped off a gift card in our mailbox for the value of our order. We will continue to frequent this location and we thank the restaurant for making it right.I placed a pickup order on Saturday, Feb 4 for 2 orders of fish and chip dinners (jumbo haddock). Got home and realised they gave me one meal with two pieces of fish. I called and spoke to the restaurant and explained how this affected us, the order was wrong, my gas and time (I do not live nearby at all!) We went out of our area that’s surrounded in restaurants to come to Archie’s.She said I could come back for some fries and that’s all she could offer. I explained I’m not taking another 45 minutes to drive out there, waste my gas, while my dinners go cold at home for a deep fried $0.50 potato. She completely understood and explained she would contact the Manager and have him call me because she wasn’t allowed to replace whole orders.I never got a call. I called again on Sunday and spoke to the same girl who explained she really understood my frustration and agreed with me but that her Manager should be reaching out. Well, it’s now Friday, Feb 10 and no one has called me. As a life long customer I’m shocked that no one has tried to make it right. My family has been coming to Archie’s for decades, I even had my wedding guests join us for brunch at the Sunday buffet back in 2014, like 50 of us!I just would appreciate a call back.

Always a date night go to for us. As always the staff are friendly and attentive. Food was quickly to our table. I had the grilled haddock with garlic mushrooms veggies and a baked potato. My husband stuck to his favorite halibut and fries.

The piece of fish I received was very thin and overcooked making it dry and tough. Unfortunately I didn't complain as I was being treated for my birthday dinner. I've always had excellent fish here, so I will be back. I think this was an oversight.

Food is tasty, very fair portions and the Quality of the food is excellent. Menus are huge with many great options to choose from for Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner! They have Booth and table seating. Desserts are amazing. I always come back to Archie's Restaurants.

I've passed by this place plenty of times on my way home and have always wanted to give it a fair shot.In all, the place was okay. I do not recall which of the signatures dish that I got, but it was the largest size. It wasn't bad, a bit tasteless that the lemon and the mayo like sandwich spread did most of the carrying. Even then I had to add vinegar. The fries that came with it wasn't anything special, but I enjoyed the coleslaw.Their strawberry rhubarb pie was good.If you want to stop by a place for a quick meal and you want fish and chips, the place is a decent contender and fairly cheap. Service seems like a nice bunch where if you dine in a couple of times they will remember you.

Gone Fishing Wrap with a side of onion rings. It also came with a pretty nice size of delicious creamy coleslaw as well! I was impressed with the portion size & the quality was great. Would definitely order from here again!

I ordered from this restaurant on wharncliff they charged me $34 on sale for 3 pieces of haddock. This came with no side no French fries ! regularly it would of been $55 without the coupon for 3 small pieces ($18 per fish ) of haddock with no side! Never have I ever paid that amount even at the other archies for 3Pieces of small fish all by themselves. I will never order from them again .
