Seaside Restaurant
Chowder is an old family recipe. It was different (thin) but wonderful and full of seafood and flavor. Loved the poutine, lobster roll and potato salad too. Don’t pass this by!

Very very good food and priced accordingly to where you are. Great view of the Caves. Just make sure there isn't a cruise ship in port at Saint John's... they bus passengers here.

Staff was very friendly, food came out quick and was nice and hot. Fish n chip was good. There were too many hornets outside, so we moved inside, but the view was just as good inside!

I had the chance to eat at Seaside Restaurant today and I was very disappointed. The Chowder was tasteless, chunks of shrimp, and overall texture was just lackluster. The sign says, award winning, I have tasted MANY other chowders and this one ranks as the bottom. Then the Seafood Dinner - be sure to read this one as it include CLAM STRIPS, that's right CLAM STRIPS, you would think that a spot on the water would have real clams for their Seafood Dinner and also it consisted of deep fried Shrimp, that is not what I call a seafood dinner, it was actually pretty terrible for a price of $29.99, yeah that is correct to have clam strips and shrimp. I will say that that staff were great, that is about all the positive that I can say about my visit there and I know that I definitely would not be going back, sorry but this experience/food taste/price for what you got did not impress me at all. So I give it 2 stars max and that is just due to staff and nice patio on water.

Stopped in after traveling the Fundy Trail. Ordered their famous seafood chowder and my wife had the haddock fish and chips. Staff was friendly, food was good and our table overlooked Fundy Bay, Nice dinning experience.

We had fish and chips the other night, it was super, the batter had great flavour and crispy nice :) I loved the coleslaw! I highly recommend !

I normally do not write review, but i feel like people need to know. The seafood chowder is disgusting and tiny. It tastes like nothing ( as if the chef just threw some seafood inside milky water). For 15$, i was expecting better than that

Waiter suggested the seafood casserole as the best on the menu but we couldn't even eat it.It sounded delicious but it was gelatinous, fishy, and off-tasting. None of the seafood we got here was good to be honest.The lobster roll was also the worst I've ever had. There was a very small amount of lobster that was shredded and diced up very small. The lettuce tasted out of place, as did the sugary mayo. The bun was toasted perfectly, buttery and airy. As was the garlic toast which came on the side of the seafood casserole. The poutine was awesome, the fries had that amazing fluffy crispy texture. The gravy was also well seasoned and some of the cheese curds were melty. The Ceasar salad was mediocre, with artificial bacon bits.Beautiful views, with indoor and outdoor seating available. The windows are so large that you aren't missing out on anything by sitting inside.The waiter didn't let us know that we had to go to the front to pay so we were waiting in the check for quite some time. She only checked on us once after the food came. But overall the service was good.

Not a very good experience overall. Chowder was thin, greasy and watery and not at all like the New England style chowder as shown in pictures. Lobster roll tasted like it was out of a can. Calamari was dark because of old oxidised oil. We were not allowed to use the outdoor patio because of our small, non-shedding dog and told to use the outlying picnic benches near the parking lot. Hornet infestation made it very difficult to leave food uncovered and signage is there to advise customers to manage their own food against the hornets, a serious liability waiting to happen. No garbage cans and patrons are told to take their own garbage to their cars and throw away elsewhere. Everything is served in illegal Styrofoam containers. No public washrooms so people are forced to buy food to use the restroom facilities.
