Hands down THE BEST Indian restaurant west of highway 15 in Montreal. It is a small operation, but don't let that fool you. It is mostly a take-out shop although there are 2-3 tables in there if you want to eat on the spot. One of the top 3 Indian kitchens in Montreal.

Great place. Great price for the quality of food which is usually horrible and more pricey at other bigger restaurants. Very tasty. Some meals were a little watered down. I took one of the big combo options and was impressed with the selection. Mango lassi is always a delight.

This restaurant definitely should be on your culinary list when visiting West Island, Montreal.Great service and great advice on the menu by the front desk customer service girl. Delicious & authentic indian food, outstanding service through out the sitting. We left this restaurant immensely satisfied!!!

Yesterday I visited Dawat restaurant for the first time and had a fantastic experience. The restaurant is not very spacious but the food was delicious and authentic, with a wide variety of options to choose from. The flavors were well-balanced, and I have to say they serve the best Chhole Kulche in Montreal. The service was also top-notch. Ravinder was incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed and going above and beyond to make us feel welcome. She is a great host and made our visit even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great Indian dining experience.

Randomly picked this place out of the many choices in the west island and we drove all the way from across town in the rain and slush to try it. Absolutely worth the drive! The quality and taste were excellent. Quantity, which is important for me, certainly did not disappoint. My gf and I had leftovers which rarely happens when we get take out. I was really impressed with the big cubes of fresh quality chicken in the Tikka Masala. All and all, just a perfect place for Indian at a very good price. Most of all though, we were greeted by the most friendly staff member. He took the time to explain all our choices with a smile. Highly recommended!

I got the special chicken biryani. Very very dry and bland. I'm literally throwing it away with this much still left in it. My friend got the lamb curry which was pretty good still. I'd just avoid this dish.

Me and my friend did dine in few days ago. God I love food over here. If you miss your Mom’s hand food. This is the place for you. Staff was friendly and cooperative. I can’t recommend any dish because everything taste so good.

A very cozy takeout restaurant with a limited seating capacity.Awesome ambience and super nice staff.Taste wise food is great and prices are economical too.Just 2 hours drive from Ottawa, it is going to be our stop over now for our Montreal trips.

My first review was 5 star because food and lady who serve food ( maybe owner) was so good. But today this girl at reception through bag of food at me and treated like she’s doing some kind of favor. Need to learn some etiquette or should leave the job ASAP.

This place has the best food you can have. Chana bhatura was very delicious and tasty. The quantity was much larger compared to the price of the dishes. Would definitely visit when I am in town.
