BETTER SUSHI

Sushi in Tyendinaga First Nation you ask? It is absolutely true and it is some of the best sushi that I have ever eaten. It is so good that a trip for the sushi alone is well worth it. To find this jewel, from Highway 401, take the Shannonville Road exit south until you reach the lights. You'll see Village Gas on your left. Turn left and travel eastbound on Old Highway 2 for about 1-2 km. Better Sushi is on the right in the same parking lot as Better Buds. Did I mention that Better Sushi is a giant food truck? There's plenty of outdoor seating and for the members of your group who have a less developed palette, I believe they also sell hot dogs.

An unexpected delight in Shannonville! The sushi chef is very personable and witty. We had the Love Roll and the Spicy Salmon Roll and they were both delicious. Both rolls had the perfect amount of fish to rice ratio. If you have a small mouth, you'll likely have to eat the Love Roll in two bites :-)

Bulgogi, sushi, tempura and plenty of other options are on the menu here. All made with the freshest ingredients. It's a delightful stop along highway two in Shannonville. Plenty of parking and lots of picnic tables with umbrellas to sit and relax while you enjoy your meal. The prices are absolutely amazing too!
