New owner she's great, but her general manager and boyfriend handiman is taking advantage, leaving the guests to wait for breakers to be turned on,dirty coffee machines,broken tvs, batteries, etc.The restaurant was decent with great staff friendly and helpful but there were only 2 customers on our visit don't know what would happen if it gets busy?Hopefully, the owner is able to find competent staff to manage this possible 3 star.People don't mind a facility a little old, but it's a fine line between 1 star and old..Good luck, Cove, Nic

We stayed at the Cove Motel last year for couple of nights, the best place ever, and the food is awesome, great staff, very friendly, definitely we will be going back

Only visited the restaurant. Pleasant staff, great view. We had lobster roll, seafood chowder and club sandwich. Food and service was excellent.

This place served me the very best mussels I have ever had. I actually drained the broth from the bowl with a spoon when finished! ( too impatient to use a shell lol)If you like mussels take the time to try this one out!

On a trip from Ontario to the east coast and decided to stop for a good meal as it was recommended by the waitress at our hotel. It wasn’t a good meal, it was amazing!! From the moment we walked in the door to the moment we walked out, we were treated not like customers but like family. The restaurant is quaint with a beautiful view, presentation was on point and the food was amazing. Before I left I made sure to tell our waitress and it was my pleasure to be introduced to the owner. She was very appreciative of our patronage. If you have the opportunity, make this a stop! Had we known or found it online, we may have stayed here. May do it next time. Definitely won’t disappoint if you stop in!!

Review is for accommodations only.+ spacious room+ flexible check-in+ comfortable bed+ just off of the highway, but you can’t hear any noise- wanted to take a shower but there was no hot water. When asked the receptionist we were told with an attitude that “oh, the kitchen must have used it up, it was pretty busy, just wait a bit, should be fine in a hour or so” (after 9pm, after a long day).As they position themselves as higher end motel I don’t think this is a fitting attitude, I wouldn’t stay again.

Great little restaurant. The staff, food and views were stellar. If you’re heading to Cape Breton Island, stop in for an excellent meal before you cross the causeway.

My husband and I stayed at your Motel and dined in your restaurant for both supper and breakfast! We had a wonderful waitress April (I hope I have your name right) who was amazing! She told us right up front that the diner we ordered would take about a half n hour to prepare. Which didn’t matter to us since we were staying the night anyway and were in no rush. April was so sweet, we really appreciated her! Shout out to the cook and kitchen staff! We had a wonderful diner! Our waitress for breakfast (Dolly) was also amazing and sweet! The ladies that greated us in the evening at the front desk and again in the morning were wonderful. You should be very happy with your staff! They do wonders for your business! The room was comfortable and clean, and had a wonderful view of the ocean. Can’t wait to visit the east coast of our wonderful country again! We will definitely come back to stay and eat at The Cove!
