My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Deepa Mahal for our wedding in Mexico.Background: We met Deepa at a destination wedding in 2020 and instantly knew that we just could not go with anyone else for our destination wedding. She went above and beyond for the wedding party which felt so good to see. From helping us pick our resort, deciding on our decor, food, and the entire itinerary -this left us with the best memories of our events. Deepa and her team did an amazing job planning and executing all the events a recent destination wedding in Mexico I attended this summer. As a guest of the wedding every event was like a fairytale wedding coming true. From the horse drawn carriage, the bubble machine, to the fireworks, this team did not miss a beat! Deepa helped me plan my dream wedding in Cancun and because of her it was perfect. Literally everything we had planned was executed so flawlessly and was so much better than I had imagined all because of her. Despite being in the middle of a pandemic, working with Deepa was so easy, and I did not have a single issue with her or the iRockWeddings team. The whole planning and wedding process was smooth and seamless. Our 4-day event went off without a single hitch and was even better than I had ever hoped it could be. Every one of my wedding guests said multiple times that this was the best wedding that they had ever been to, and told me several times that my planner was incredible. If you are planning a destination wedding, Deepa is the person to help you. She has so many connections in the business, and I recommend her full planning service so highly. She is professional, calm in stressful situations, and experienced. Working with her is a blessing, and I could not have had a more exemplary wedding day without Deepa. I worked with Deepa on a post-pandemic wedding over the course of 2 years (we had to delay the wedding multiple times due to concerns for COVID-19). We had a few bumps/challenges along the way in terms of communication (we planned the wedding over Zoom/were in a long-distance planning relationship), but the week of the wedding, she and the team were absolutely amazing and made the week effortless and fun for the groom, my guests, and I. She went out of the way to make sure my guests were comfortable (including my sister-in-law) and that the decorations/events went off without a hitch, and that in itself made her services worth it!! She also suggested amazing vendors, who I felt also became our friends/more like wedding guests by the end of our week together.I would mention that overall, we did have some issues communicating in the year before the wedding, and I did have to take a very active role in the wedding planning (double-checking certain details, following up with my guests on my own, etc.), but she absolutely was a wonderful person to work with. So if you are very picky about certain details about your wedding day or want to be very hands-off, I'm not sure she is the right planner for you!I also would NOT recommend using the travel agency she works with, as one member we attempted to interact with was very rude and not particularly helpful, especially when a few of our guests got stranded due to medical issues and were trying to reschedule their flights/adjust their packages.Overall, the experience and her wedding-planning team was wonderful, and I would not have changed a thing about my wedding week, and I definitely would not have chosen any other planner!!

What can we say about Deepa and her team. We would give her ten stars! We were clueless about weddings let alone a destination wedding. We found out about Deepa during our tour of the Grand Moon palace through another couple. We were sooo lucky to have found her. She is the reason why our wedding was perfect.Deepa has the utmost integrity and honesty. She was able to keep our wedding under budget and most importantly stress free. The Grand Moon wedding team and administration were difficult to work with, thankfully Deepa took care of everything! From getting pricing for our guests, flights, decor, music, photography, hair and makeup, mehndi etc. She is also aware of many amazing local vendors which helped reduce our cost. She provided detailed event day schedules that were easy to follow. We simply needed to show up, and Deepa did her thing.We would highly recommend Deepa for your most important day. Recently attended a Wedding in Mexico that was planned and organized by Deepa. Don’t even know where to start, the entire team was incredible. She took care of everything, and when I say everything I mean EVERYTHING. She went above and beyond what I could possibly ever imagine, not only making sure everything was planned and organized accordingly but making sure everyone was happy and sharing a great experience.
