Supreme Taste

There is a new king in east Chinatown for Chinese food, and it is Supreme taste. I'm not saying this is the best Chinese food, but it's the best in the area. We had two cuts of bbq, fried squid, shrimp and scallops, wonton and egg noodles, beef ho fun, and fried rice, and the total after a tip was around $98.00; there were 5 of us, and we were satisfied—stand-out dishes with BBQ meats and the sea salt medley fried. The fried rice and Ho fun were up to your standard but needed more seasoning. The service was terrific. Even when there was an error on their end, they quickly made up for it (nothing major, we ordered the BBQ meats without rice, and it came with rice, and they switched it and sincerely apologized), there were no issues after, and everyone was attentive. The restaurant has a modern yet classic Hong Kong feel, and I strongly recommend dining in for the experience. I definitely will be back for dine-in and take-out. Overall this brings back the reason why you go for Chinese, good food for a reasonable price. 4 star food, 5 star service.

Ben, Ed, and the two other ladies at the storefront have been wonderful. I have been back to this restaurant 4 times now since their grand opening. The chefs at the back know how to cook, and everyone there always appreciate your business. If you are still wondering which restaurant (Supreme Taste or the one next to it - you can read my review on that one) offers better authentic Chinese cuisine, think no more. Supreme Taste reigns supreme!

I’ve been here a few times and I can say that the portion, the price and the taste are just SUPREME!! And I have to mention that the staff were super friendly and they tried their best to help with our needs. Also, my friend and I had a pleasant conversation with the owner tonight during which he recommended the Riverdale park to us. We had an amazing dinner and then great time enjoying the sunset. My friend and I were at the restaurant on April 26. The roasted duck leg and wonton noodle soup was tasty. The roasted duck was tasty, yet not salty, unlike many other BBQ places. The congee was refined with the right consistency. Great food, helpful staff, good value and clean! It was great chatting with Ed who's the manager. Keep up the good work. We will definitely return to try other dishes.We returned one week later (May 3) and ordered a stir-fried beef rice noodle dish. It has a good aroma from being cooked at a high temperate on the wok. I had never seen so much beef for this dish (It's a good thing) and the mouth-taste is excellent (the beef is not over-tenderized, and there is a right amount of chewiness). Other dishes include the stewed beef noodle soupand the curried beef with rice. Both are very fragrant, and the beef is tender.Today, June 21, we have the wonton & BBQ duck noodles. I’m happy to say the quality is consistent and super tasty. We also have the Xiamen rice vermicelli. It’s full of complementary colours and textures.

This Establishment has got it right - Great food, nice sized portions, reasonable prices and very welcoming Friendly Service! The addition this Neighbourhood needed.Welcome Supreme Taste!I use the Cantonese Chow Mein as my gauge for comparison and it did not disappoint. One of my favourites so far is the Mapo Tofu with large chunks of tofu, eaten hot or cold, it provided just enough heat for my palette. The Roast Pork skin - I could have eaten more, more, more, it was so good, along with the Char Siu having a nice slightly sweet taste. The Beef Ho Fun (partially eaten before remembering to take a pic) had lots of nice sized tender beef.Dishes were all Take-out.Now…what to try on my next visit…

New Resto offering Chinese BBQ meats+ dim sum+ full menu.They were patient with my daughter and my requests for a fork, extra bowl, more napkins etc.It clean and bright inside with a small eating area.Would love to go again with a big group to sample more!My order was less than $30:-wonton noodle soup-shrimp har grow-1/2 pound pork with crackling (I didn’t mean to finish this myself but I couldn’t stop)

So happy to have this fab new restaurant in the neighbourhood. The staff were amazing! Great Canadian travel advice!Food was great and portions were generous. We had beef brisket hot pot, braised broccoli and tofu and hot and sour soup.Next time we will try the congee and bbq. Well done!!!

Finally, a great Chinese restaurant close to downtown Toronto! Although they haven’t been open for long, you could tell that they’re off a great start, everywhere from food, to customer service from both staff and the owner. The owner made some great recommendations and the food rivals some of the best Chinese food from Markham and Richmond Hill. We ordered fish and beef congee, deep fried dough, and stir fried beef noodles, and we particularly loved the congee and the noodles. For those who know, stir fried beef noodles is one of the most deceivingly simple but most challenging dishes to make in Cantonese cuisine, because it does put the chef’s skills to test. It has some of the most simple and accessible ingredients, but requires a lot of skills to execute it well. A good stir fried beef noodles dish needs to have good wok-hay, even distribution of soy sauce amongst all the noodle pieces, tender beef, flavourful, but not oily and just satisfying and delicious. And they did just that! Just when we were wowed by their congee and beef noodles, the owner even offered us some BBQ pork to try, which was unexpected but a very nice gesture, and we really liked the flavour and the texture of the BBQ pork, too! We loved the place so much that we even went back to order takeout from them the very same day. Highly recommend!Updated review: we went back for lunch and we’re blown away, again! Their roasted pork was juicy on the inside and the skin was crispy and has a nice crunch. The pork they use is good quality pork - you can tell once you have the first bite. Just delicious! This place truly rivals some of the best Chinese BBQ places in GTA.We also tried their beef brisket and wonton soup. The brisket was tender and the soup was delicious.Again, highly recommend!
