This place is a gem! The food tastes great and most importantly the food tastes clean! Sam cooks the food himself and he and his wife are super friendly. They deserve every dollar people spend for their amazing and clean food and welcoming atmosphere.

Came for the first time with my cousin. He was the one to recommend to try their- Sam’s Pork tenderloin with scallion and spicy salt (10/10 slightly salty with the the right amount of kick of spice.) some might find it too spicy.- Crab Rangoon (7/10 as the creme cheese crab wontons were better the more you ate. With the side of this sweet buttery sauce.)- Sam’s Spicy Beef $5 extra beef (7/10 as it wasn’t super tasteful but serving was plenty.)I will come back to try other items. One thing right now is that their still not taking in dinning, and only serving take out options.

This is a hidden gem in Whitby, Located close to the 4 corners. Unbelievably tasty Chinese and Cantonese food. Right now it's only take out, You have to try their wonton soup, They spice their food to perfection. I Understand it's a family run business. Kudos to the family.

visited on a Saturday night. the restaurant was mostly empty and had a very foul smell when we walked in. so bad, we almost turned away but decided to give the place a chance based on the rave reviews. we ordered an egg role, fried onion pancake, Cantonese chow mein and sesame chicken. the egg role was stale. the onion pancake was perfect but it didnt with any dipping sauce as advertised. the chow mein was hearty and delicious with a good variety of meat, seafood, vegetables and crunchy noodle. the sesame chicken was too sweet and overly drizzled with honey and we couldn't eat more than a few pieces because it was too sweet. after we paid the bill, Sam (owner) asked us why we didn't the eat the chicken and we explained and he suggested a few other items for the next time but didnt offer to comp the order. overall, good dining experience but nothing special.

Best Chinese food around - this isn't your Canadian Chinese Food Place - their black bean eggplant is silky and delicious - the BBQ pork chunks are insane! You can't get this anywhere else in Durham - different choices - so much food and awesome family. Love this place!

Ordered Yangzhou fried rice, chicken fried rice, sweet & sour pork, crab and corn soup, lemon chicken, beef with scallions, beef fried noodles, Cantonese chow mein. Our fave restaurant is Asian Legend in Scarborough, and we have been looking for genuine Cantonese cooking since moving to Durham 12 years ago; and we found it at Sam's kitchen. Delivery was $3.99 and food came hot and well packaged. Online ordering was easy and received a phone call to confirm the order. Kids loved every dish, portions were huge, enough for a whole other meal.

I had the satay spicy chicken fried noodles special with a spring roll. Total was ~$11.Firstly, they accept Amex so they already get points from me. Additionally, however, I found the dish to be filling, flavorful and well presented. Three spring roll was good and the ambience was not fancy, but comfortable. They could use a bit of a decor upgrade, but it wasn't terrible.The service was decent and pleasant, and the food was relatively quick to reach me. While the noodles were a bit too oily, they were delicious. I would recommend this establishment.
