Not bad for Edmonton! I've been to the Sporting Life I. Yorkdale mall recently, and this Southgate location doesn't compare. I was hoping that it would be a 2 floor location, but it's just the main floor.It feels like a mix of Simon's and sportchek. Really good selection of snowboard gear and apparel.There is some Oilers merch but I find it overpriced honestly!The location is convenient in Southgate, glad that it's not South Common.

Great store and exceptional service by Noel. He helped me a numerous amount of times and has gone above and beyond to make sure I have had the best experience at SportingLife. Besides his amazing customer service, he is also very knowledgeable in the snowboarding department and made sure I had no doubts about the equipment I was purchasing. I strongly suggest you find Noel if you need any help on snowboarding equipment!

I have been here a couple times in their first couple weeks open and have had positive experiences each time. I upgraded my ski boots and Ryan was such a great help making sure I got the perfect fit. Every other time in the store, it has always been well stocked and organized with enough staff around eager to help. Will definitely be coming back again

I was extremely disappointed with their policy of not allowing customers wearing backpacks to enter. As someone who frequently carries a backpack for convenience and practicality, I found this rule to be completely unreasonable and unnecessary.

Worst customer experience ever!!! Tried to exchange an item given by a friend and they wouldn’t let me! I have a gift receipt and item has tags and all, obviously never used. They said the scanner shows a different item than the receipt and that it was already returned. It must be a mistake in their system since the description on the receipt seems to match the item I’m exchanging. So I asked if there’s anything they can do about it. They said I have to call my friend and ask if they already returned a different item and try to figure out the mistake. What a load of bull!!! I expected them to accommodate it and override the system or something. Don’t buy anything from this store!!!

Nice store with a decent selection. Got my snowboarding equipment from here.Shoutout to Noel in the winter goods department. Knows his stuff and was able to recommend a snowboard setup based on my riding style. Was able to get on the slopes shredding the same day.

All the employees are there yet no one is helping. They talk to each other without even acknowledging your presence. The only person who acknowledge me was security. No wonder they have security. Employees don't care. Shopped there the first time and never coming back

Came here for grand opening and bought a pair of shoes. Staff were eager to help, and the selection in store was pretty good. Lots of sales this time of year.

This store is AMAZING!! So many great brands like Canada Goose, Mackage & Moose Knuckles. Truly an all in one store for all of Canada’s outdoor adventures.

Great selection of winter items and casual wear. Amazing ski and snowboard selection. Always new sales every week. Nice to walk out with a really warm jacket for under $100. Some of the stuff is a bit expensive, but from my experience you do get what you pay for. All the staff are welcoming and always in position to help with shopping needs. I would recommend this to anyone who needs new winter apparel or looking to get out on the mountains this winter.
