Diamond in the Rough - Wedding & Events Venue

What a lovely venue! Very well thought out, and run by very accommodating people! I look forward to my next Diamond celebration!

My husband and I got married at Diamond in the Rough in September 2020. The Diamond and the Rough team did an amazing job working with us and coordinating the day of events to make our wedding absolutely perfect. I highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for stunning venue tucked away in the beauty of central Alberta supported by the amazing staff to make all your wedding dreams come true.

We got married here in August of 2021. We rode the COVID rollercoaster and the Jans family at Diamond in the Rough made the ride a lot less stressful. Honestly, I cannot say enough good things about this venue and the family that owns it. They were professional, approachable and always willing to help however they could. They always responded to my emails in a timely manner. I can honestly say our wedding would not have been the same if we would have had it somewhere else. We cannot recommend DITR enough for future brides!!

I wish there were more stars for this rating. Venue was outstanding and Bev and Murray and rest of staff were amazing. All guests were in awe of how beautiful it was. Wedding party had a great time being all together in the beautiful log home. I would highly recommend this Wedding Venue and will be telling everyone I know that is planning a wedding. Thanks again Bev and Murray for your hospitality.

Truly wonderful location for a family wedding. Enjoyed seeing horses and donkeys running free in the pastures. My only suggestion would be to add some seating just for seniors and people with health challenges. Sitting on a hard chair or plank bench with no cushion or back doesn't work well for some of us.

We planned our wedding with Diamond in the Rough over a span of 3 years. We very quickly got to know the Jans family and realized early on that this lovely family were some of the kindest and most generous people we’ve ever met. The Jans have been by our side through exciting times but also COVID times. They were accommodating when we needed to reschedule our wedding due to COVID and they were always extremely easy to communicate with whenever I had questions (and there were a lot of them!). Our wedding day was nothing short of magical. With Diamond in the Rough doing all the set up and take down, it made my wedding day one of the most relaxing and enjoyable days ever. We enjoyed the privacy of the log cabin both nights and it easily fit our families and bridal party. The venue was perfect for our 130 guest and we easily could have had more guest. Our friends and family members had nothing but raving reviews about the venue and loved the on site camping that turned the event into a weekend getaway for everyone. Having a wedding at Diamond in the Rough is like a destination wedding without having to travel multiple hours away. If you are looking for a wedding venue that will provide you with an exceptional experience, look no further than Diamond in the Rough. They go above and beyond for their couples and it shows in the work they put into their weddings.

Beautiful spot for a wedding, gorgeous scenery and everything you could need is on site, what a fantastic venue! The accommodations provided are top notch, what amazing experience thanks to the DITR crew!

10/10 will ALWAYS recommend! The venue was absolutely stunning and Bev and Murray were more then attentive to any questions we had. Their on site rental service was extremely helpful for us and the quality of what they had to offer was amazing :) Lots of room for every vendor and a bar that will fit all of your drinking needs. Diamond in the Rough was the perfect setting to make all our wedding day dreams come to life! The location is stunning, all our guests kept saying how beautiful the barn and surrounding green fields were. The donkeys and horses made for some entertainment! The staff was extremely helpful the day of our wedding and made sure anything we asked for was done. It was really great having access to the entire venue all weekend, that really helped keep stress levels low having everything done and set up early. We especially enjoyed having the log home for all our wedding party to stay in. Some of our favourite moments from the weekend was hanging out on the back deck with our favourite people. We would 10/10 recommend Diamond in the Rough!!
