It's unfortunate that stores don't stay in business and there's such a high turnover for stores in here. There are too many no name shops in here that are very expensive. The food court is really nice now though!

Classic example of the brutalism style of late 60's to mid 70's architecture. In need of serious upgrades; PCL was just awarded the contract to do so. Some floors have been renovated and they're a great picture of what's to come, however entire HVAC, electrical, & Telecom systems need serious upgrading. Also, please add in better lighting; 'tis but like a dungeon of the cold war.

Large Mellie federal government complex which is starting to show its age. Unless you're a civil servant or have business with the control service, it will be of no interest

Honey, I've seen my share of dingy backstage dressing rooms, but this Place du Portage is like stepping into a time warp. It's as if the 1960s called and forgot to take their brutalist architecture back! The building's as welcoming as a two-bit gangster and as cheerful as a rainy day on 42nd street. It's all concrete and gloom, like some kinda Cold War bunker. You half expect to see a G-man in a fedora turning the corner. It might hold charm for those with an eye for the stark and utilitarian, but from where I'm standing, it could use a serious facelift. But hey, who am I to judge? Anytime Annie's seen worse, and I've always made the best of it!

This is a great place to work but It could use a facelift and fewer smoking areas. There are people smoking within a few meters of almost every entrance. Nothing better than taking a health walk a lunch only to be greeted but a face full of cigarette smoke.

Easy to get to for work from Ottawa or Hall but requires extensive work and updating. There are restaurants for lunch but not much in the way of shops. some of the floors have already being updated and have very nice furniture but others are very dated.

Not sure why anyone would come around who doesn't work here, its a fairly typical government office building really.

Office space. Connected to a food court. The biggest group of public servant in a single building complex in North America.

Phase III of Place du Portage. Federal Government of Canada building with mostly PSPC and SSC offices inside. Easy to get to by public transit, easy to spot since it's on Laurier and right near the Ottawa River. Cross Portage bridge and you'll be in the Place du Portage complexe. Parking is by monthly pass only, public parking is outside in private lots and pricey. PDP Phase III is 18 stories high, one of the tallest buildings in the area, stunning views of the nations capital from the upper offices. Phase III can be tricky, there are multiple sections, Tower A (the tallest part), Tower B (the lower), Tower C (west side), Building D (the conference rooms over the roadway), and Building E (mezzanine area between Tower A and Tower B).

Good location to work in as it is central to a lot of things. I think it is due for renovation as it is an aging building. Comuting by bus is relatively easy but parking can be a challenge (expensive).
