Not to deminish other reviews but I find it interesting how two customers who had similar work done at Fliteline could have such polar opposite reviews of the company and their work. April of this year I purchased a 1964 Comanche that was in dire need of a extensive panel upgrade. Having spoke to several shops I was undecided as to where to take the aircraft for the panel upgrade each recommending different avionics and configurations. Fliteline was recommended to me by a individual with more that 40 years experience in general aviation citing that although they are relatively new he had heard good things about them.I spoke to Daniel at Fliteline providing him with a comprehensive list of avionics and configurations that I felt would best suite how and where the aircraft would be flown fully expecting his recommending a more costly alternative. To my surprise he got back to me with a less costly alternative while still providing the same or better capability. An estimate was provided and a completion timeline estimating 3 weeks to complete. The upgrade was completed slightly above the estimate and the completion dated was missed by 3 days. Given that this is a 60 year old aircraft with 60 year old wiring I was pleasantly surprised that it was basically on budget and on time.After flown the aircraft for 20 hours I did experience a few minor snags but once again this is a 60 year old aircraft with 60 year old wiring. Wether the snags where a fault of Fliteline or old wiring is not as important as their wanting the aircraft back to correct the issues. They even offered to fly to my home base ( 2 hour flight) to resolve the problem, all covered under warranty. A claim that is often used but seldom followed, we go above and beyond for our customers"

I used this company to install a glass panel and autopilot on my 180 ( GMRE ). I received a quote of 89k. It was scheduled to be with them for Jan 1. I was told it would be 2-3 weeks to complete. I gave them 60k to start in the fall. I then waited for months for my appointment. Then at the correct time I delivered my plane.I visited the aircraft late January only to find my aircraft in pieces all over the hangar. It was pushed into the back corner and moth balled. This was done apparently to accommodate new work that came in after mine. Obviously disappointed I spoke with them... they apologized and said the would get back on it. I told them I had my annual scheduled for February. Given delinquency this was now a conflict. They offered to conduct the annual there at no cost. That seemed reasonable and forward we went. The aircraft did not actually get finished until late March. That additional delay had nothing to do with COVID-19.When I looked at the panel it was crooked, full of labels and stickers. Frankly, it appeared as if a high school student had hung the panel. It was brutal workmanship. I also discovered that they broke my console. I found a piece of the panel inside jamming the trim. I again reported the obvious and they claimed it would be replaced or repaired.Later, I received the plane again. The console was repaired. The panel was still the same. I was told at that time they were waiting for the silk screen but that company was closed for Covid-19. I drove over to that company. I spoke with the owner at length. He was not closed, he had been business as usual.I then received an email out of the blue from these guys. It included a 3k charge for the annual and more time repairing the console that was broken by them. They sent a invoice if 138k.... I pointed out to them that type of activity was at odds with the consumer protection act. I then received an apology and a new invoice much closer to the original quote.I sat down with Derek Hammond ( the owner) he told me he really does not know what goes on over there. He claimed he would look into it. After not hearing anything for A week I called. Left a message... nothing is resolved other than I’ve taken my plane to a reputable avionics company BrantAero.My advice avoid these guys at all costs!

Great service. They greeted us with cold drinks and a snack as we got off the aircraft. Attentive and helpful. Arranged for rental cars to be brought to their location. Excellent crew room amenities upstairs. Definitely the FBO to use at CYKF.
