As a brand new 'I wanna try this out' potential target shooter, I did what research I could to get more comfortable with the nomenclature and technical aspects of compound bows.Based on the already great reviews of Jim-Bows, I went in and asked probably a thousand questions to get started.This group truly loves what they do, and loves to help pass on that appreciate to others. Zach and Joey were patient with so many questions and provided a wealth of information to help me start making decisions.The building process was in depth and they clearly know the important aspects to take into consideration for proper fit as my first sets of shots was not accurate, but at least well grouped.I can't wait to get back and start getting some arrows downrange.

This was my first time coming to the shop. I joined a few friends who come here quite a bit. I didn't make an appointment a head of time which is required if you have no archery experience. So they squeezed me and gave me a lesson to get me up to speed. I was very impressed with the size of the shop and the one on one training was great. She taught me everything I needed to know with tips and tricks. Went over all the safety and features of the compound bow. Got me shooting on my own in no time. The owner even came up to me to give me a few more tips during my shooting to help me out. I really enjoyed it here and I would come back again for sure. I think I am hooked and I would love to bring the family to try out. After we were done I got a card with some info on it for my draw length and bow used. So next time I come in it will be a smooth process. Note kids can come but have to be 10 years of age. Great place to try out something new and in my opinion a lot of fun.

This is the best archery shop in Calgary. Possibly the best in all of western canada, they’re really know their stuff!

Jim is awesome. I purchased a new bow and Within an hour he had me shooting and learning propper techniques.

This is the go to place for anyone looking to get into bow hunting and has ZERO experience. They set me up with everything and Jim gave me a one on one lesson. Strongly recommend purchasing your bow at Jim Bows.

Bought a bow second hand that had originally been purchased from jim bows, I came in to have it checked over and try shooting it for the first time (I haven't shot a bow in over 11 years) Sampson had a look and made some minor adjustments and helped me out with my form and getting my bow sighted in, I was more than impressed with the knowledge and help they offered. Will be back again for sure!! Keep up the great work guys!!

The best damn bow shop in western Canada. And that’s saying something.I’ve been going to Jim’s since 2013. The standard of service and care that Jim, Joey, Clair, Sampson and the rest of the team delivers is bar none. If you are just looking at buying your first bow, or need your bow tuned up. These guys have you covered and when you have that Jim-bows sticker on a bow. That thing is like having an AMA card for your bow.I tell everyone that wants to get into bowhunting or just archery. That this is the place they need to go to get set up and ask your questions.Also on a side note. Check out their elk hunting seminar. It’s pure gold.
