Cambrian Credit Union

Have been a customer for about 8 years and find the staff knowable and friendly . The rates are better than the big banks and service at the tellers is like old time banking. This branch has had a great manger..there door is always open to customers.

I've been with this location for roughly four years and am finally moving my business to another institution. When I first applied for my mortgage I was told I had to purchase all sorts of insurance, roughly $10,000 worth, in order to qualify.Months later I found out, completely by accident, that the insurance I purchased wasn't in fact necessary. I called and left messages for weeks and when I didn't receive a reply I called the front desk and was told that the woman who originally worked on my finances had been let go over a month prior but they hadn't bothered to delete or check her voice mail.After a few weeks of phone calls including a few to my lawyer they finally, and very reluctantly, removed the insurance charge from my mortgage.This was the first of many poor experiences with this branch, I'm locked in for five years on my mortgage (1 more year to go) but I can't take it anymore. I'm going to pay the penalty for breaking my mortgage and take my business elsewhere.I would not recommend this branch, or frankly, this institution.

I have been banking with Cambrian for 5 years and have never had an issue at this or any branch. My Financial Services Officer is Maria A. at the McPhillips branch and she is amazing. She always responds to my inquiries right away and always goes above and beyond to help me.
