Kal Tire
I think Kal Tire do an excellent job. However, the rebate advertised on the BF Goodrich KO2s is not as it looks. No online application is possible and sending by mail guarantees it will never happen. I've waited for my mailed rebate claim to surface. No sign of it. There is no record from the manufacturer. I would like this to be better presented from the start. IE. FORGETABOUTIT!

This review is from May 2019 posted by me on YelpI had this awesome experience with a store and a very bad and bad experience with two other stores. I drive a van that's our single car for the family and as usual I visually check my tires every day for proper inflation. Just before leaving for work I felt that my rear right tire was kind of bulged out due to lack of pressure. I left for work and I didn't feel much on the steering as for any drag or unevenness. During my lunch break I checked it again and the deflation was really noticeable. I was kind of panicky as the place I work is an industrial zone and no tire repair whatsoever was close by. I googled the nearest place and it was like 15mts away. I decided to wait till I left from work and get some place on the way home. I searched up again and found couple of them but they all close at 5pm. I decided to leave an hour early to catch up to their timing.Reached the first place at 4:05pm (KAL TIRE at hwy 10 and 180 street in Surrey) and they still had 2 hours to close and had 6 empty bays with no vehicles in it. Went inside and checked with the reception, a lady and guy was standing at the counter and was very reluctant to offer me service with no cars in and 6 bays totally empty. They told me politely that they have only one technician and he was busy doing something else, really even though polite I found it very hard to believe. On my way out I asked them you have roughly 2 hours to close and all your service bays are empty, really you don't have any means to service me!!!I left and headed straight to Applewood KIA in Langley where I bought the van and was just 4 kms away from this place. Checked in with reception and he took the request no matter what. It was close to their closing time but he patiently took my request and decided to check it out. He saw the tire and saw that there was couple of curb scrapes and rubber pealing off. He told me we will have to replace the tire, cause it's roughly 45000 kms in we would have to change 2 of it both right side would have to be changed. He gave me quote of about $620 for two tires including fitment and alignment. I knew then and there he didn't have much idea about it so I decided to go elsewhere. My next stop was OK TIRE in Langley in Fraser highway and 198 street and it was already 5pm and they close at 6pm. The lady at the front desk was courteous and asked me what I am there for and I gave her the request and she somehow squeezed me in to the job list after consulting with the senior technician. He without any hesitation said yes. I should have noted down the names of both people who interacted with me. It was just outright the best service that too towards the close of the day. Within 20 minutes I was on my way home for just $40 on the bill. It was just a screw that created all this headache. (No tire replacement required, no waiting time or come back later) that was an awesome experience from Mr. Clayton Delaney's OK TIRE. Excellent job and awesome customer service you guys. They also polished my tires and cleaned the rims. I will surely be coming back for any kind of tire related matters.

Moved near this Kal Tire and have been impressed with their customer service and skills. They've been good at updating me on the progress when working on my vehicle and I really appreciate them going above and beyond like when I stop in to have small issues looked at. Their prompt and friendly service is appreciated.

Marcus' customer service skills were above and beyond, more than I expected. I was greeted and taken care of while getting new tires installed on my vehicle. He kept me posted how long it would take and made sure it was done right in an efficient manner by the Kal Tire team. I left very satisfied from installation to alignment.

Please avoid this Kaltire store. Long review coming.I got my tire flat 2 months ago (brand new tire from costco). I have no option but to bring it to neareast store , which is Kaltire. Technician said it’s easy and fixed it.Fast forwarding to 3 weeks ago when I notice I constantly got tire pressure reduce and brought the tire to costco to fix it. They refuse to fix because whoever fixed it did a very bad job.So I brought the car to Kaltire. Please note that although losing pressure to 32psi, I could still drive and have to pump it every week. This thing is mention to Kaltire technician when I arrive at Kaltire. One hour after Kaltire technician notice me the tire is unrepairable and I need a new tire. I came to the store and tell them just put the tire back I will go other place try to fix it. The technician said that it’s impossible now because, exact quote “by trying to repair the tire, we made it worse and and not drivable”. And since my vehicle is rear wheel drive and I have no spared tire, I need to replace 2 tires which cost $1000 at Kaltire. They refuse to take responsibility for make the tire completely damage or give any discount.I would not recomend this store. I brought a tire here even though leaking, but still fully functional, they gave me a broken one back and refuse to do anything about it.PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COST.

These guys know how to redeem themselves in a big way and they are not afraid to make things right. The guys at the Cloverdale branch are led by a tried-and-true old school professional that knows how to get it done right. Any model of car!I have a model Y Tesla and they handled the car like if it was their own! Go for it! You won't regret it!

Usually I hate writing poor reviews. I usually reward good work with a good review, but that was not my experience here. I bought an '05 vehicle with a check engine light. I have a few years of automotive under my belt and I couldn't find anything drastically wrong and the car seemed incredibly well kept, sometimes cars can throw strange codes. I noticed that something was making the car surge, hesitate and buck. However, the transmission seemed to have no issues and I concluded the engine might be in open loop. I brought the car in for a general service and I made an effort to explain that I needed that engine light investigated. After an entire day passed. Not only did they NOT scan for codes. I found out with some bumper damage(like I said, extremely clean exterior) that somebody probably took my car for a joy ride and then told me they didn't find any issues. Engine light still on, clutch fluid never topped off, Oil still dirty and low. It would've taken 5 minutes to scan my car for a code. Instead I took the car back and took my car to our shop at KPU, 3 months later when school started back up. Personally scanned the car. Knock sensor failure and high idle. The entire thing was melted off. I drove my car possibly adding more wear to my 100,000km motor because these guys didn't scan for codes. Unacceptable. Won't be going back. I think I'll just trust my gut instinct and do my own work from now on. I'm still puzzled at how these guys missed so much yet were so adamant that they found no issues.

As awesome as Kal may be on a regular basis, I just had a poor experience here. Let me explain.I had a quote for a repair, that was say price x. So I booked it in.When I came to pick up the vehicle, it took less time than was quoted. But the service rep tried to charge me the full original quoted price. I asked about the hourly rate, which hadn’t changed, so I told him the math didn’t add up.Although he did fix the price, the fact that he didn’t fix the bill to the proper cost first makes me wonder, who else has Kal done this to?I’ll be sending an email to the manager about this issue shortly.Update after Kal’s reply: I didn’t mention anything about a flat repair being done.Update 2 after Kal changed their response to contact customer service: I’ll submit an update 3 after that conversation happens with results.
